Williamson is a superlative talent but has suffered some injuries that some speculate are due to his 280+ weight being a liability for his power game making him injury prone. He has not played a game in the NBA in this his first season due to a meniscus problem. Will he follow in Oden’s footsteps and not fulfill his immense potential? Lets hope not.

I have been wondering about that too. He needs to come in at least 30 pounds lighter and a lot fitter and more nimble.

Vladdy has been Jays property for some time now. The Yankees and the Cardinals would have had a personal trainer/nutritionist person and an English tutor person assigned
to him the SECOND he signed on the dotted line. He came to camp last year nearly obese and knowing perhaps 10 words of English. Get serious Blue Jay brass please.

Remember Pablo Sandoval, 3rd baseman of the Red Sox. Packed 275 pounds on his 5'11 frame. I think there was one memorable incident when he was running the bases and his belt snapped.

Greg Oden suffers from Benjamin Button Syndrome, he's aging faster than his real age would suggest. As for Zion, he's not a Raptor so IDGAF.

As for Vladdy, 30lbs is too much weight to lose in one off season. If he comes in at 18lbs less, I'll be happy, don't want to see him get injured. With greater agility he could be a 30 homers - .300 batting avg dude.

He can generate unreal torque with his swing...listen for the ricochet!
