Defence requested for 15 grand
Prosecution requested for 1 million
Which would mean no trips to the candystore. As we know, they're mortally dangerous in Florida.I believe a condition of the bail is that a safe place that the court knows about be found for the accused. (read hiding place)
of course candy store is code for his dealers houseWhich would mean no trips to the candystore. As we know, they're mortally dangerous in Florida.
I am amazed what a career Marcia Clark has put together on the premise of getting her ass handed to her in the most public way possible.. in the USA if you fail massively.. it is almost as good as winning.Yea, I watched the representative for the prosecution being cross examined by Zimmerman's lawyer. Didn't have a f*cking clue. Not prepared in anyway.Hadn't reviewed the medical records. Basically didn't give a shit. Seemed to be just shrugging it off. Good luck with that one. They keep calling Marcia Clark from the OJ trial for "expert advice". Like she would know.
This is a bit like saying you are a University or Minor League ball player you are more than a competent ball player, you are in fact a better ball player than 98 percent of people, now you go up against a Major League all star team and have your "ass handed to you" does this mean that you actually were a bunch of totally incompetent ball players?I am amazed what a career Marcia Clark has put together on the premise of getting her ass handed to her in the most public way possible.
$150,000 is a low bail for murder. Up in Ontario, it's almost gospel that no one gets bail for murder. Doesn't sound like anyone is taking this too seriously.Yea, I watched the representative for the prosecution being cross examined by Zimmerman's lawyer. Thats Ontario, in Florida a $150K bond is about normal for murder 2.$150,000 is a low bail for murder. Up in Ontario, it's almost gospel that no one gets bail for murder. Doesn't sound like anyone is taking this too seriously
Actually yes. How could anyone lose that case against OJ? Vincent Bugliosi said he had never seen a case so easy where a trail of blood led from the murder scene to OJ's car to his bedroom with bloody socks. Christopher Darden turned his summation into a rambling yawnfest. So yes the prosecution did have their asses handed to them so again yes they were a couple of incompetents. If you are playing in the major leagues you are expected to be a major league player. Not expected to excuse yourself because you aren'tnow you go up against a Major League all star team and have your "ass handed to you" does this mean that you actually were a bunch of totally incompetent ball players?
I don't know about Florida, but closer to Canada where I practice the typical pattern is as Oagre described - bail for someone charged with murder is almost never (certainly not in my lifetime) granted.Thats Ontario, in Florida a $150K bond is about normal for murder 2.
Didn't face some three of the best criminal defence lawyers in the U.S., and didn't face a jury which desperately wanted to find any excuse to acquit.Vincent Bugliosi
No lawyer(s) in the US would have been able to get OJ convicted of murder at that time and place.Actually yes. How could anyone lose that case against OJ?
Everything I'm hearing seems to suggest that the prosecution jumped the gun and overcharged the case. Zimmerman may very well get off.Doesn't sound like anyone is taking this too seriously.
On the first point,Bugliosi probably could have handled those three.I am not a lawyer but I remember that the prosecutors had pretty much a "slam dunk" as far as DNA evidence.Somehow they managed to put everybody to sleep. However, isn't it their job to go up against the "best"?Didn't face some three of the best criminal defence lawyers in the U.S., and didn't face a jury which desperately wanted to find any excuse to acquit.
Now I will entirely agree with you that the prosecution should never have agreed to transfer the case from Brentwood.
