Like to watch YT on My Smart TV or when using Firestick but lately YT is being RUINED by endless Ads and commercials!
Is there anyway to install some Ad Blocker on a Smart TV or on Firestick to avoid all these annoying ads?

No need to buy YT premium. Have a laptop connected to my Smart TV with an Ad Blocker which blocks all YT ads for free. Was just trying to find a way to do the same on a Smart TV without using a laptop.

Found Blokada, which can be installed on Firestick which blocks many but not all annoying YT ads and popups but still can't find a way to block YT ads on a Smart TV.

I VPNd to turkey and bought the family plan on YouTube premium. 5 bucks a month and shared it to 5 ppl. Definitely got my ROI back that way.

But hey! If your method works, stick with it! 🙂

My kid will love that it works on FireTV. Thanks for that.

I started using PIA VPN on firestick about two months ago and I'm pleased with it (you can find more details here https://www.firesticktricks.com/install-private-internet-access-on-firestick.html). Actually, it differs from the ordinary VPN. First of all, it costs me only $79 for three years. Also, it allows me to connect to the service with as many as ten different devices, with just one subscription plan. I have access to unblocking geo-restrictions for a wide range of streaming platforms, so I can stream as much as I want to. PIA VPN offers maximum security and anonymity when browsing. In addition, there are special features for blocking ads and malware and the use of the WireGuard protocol. I personally really like it.

Hey there! I totally get how annoying it is to have ads interrupting your YouTube binge on your Smart TV or Firestick. Unfortunately, installing an ad blocker on a Smart TV or Firestick isn't as straightforward as it is on a computer or phone. However, have you tried signing up for YouTube Premium? It's a subscription service that removes all ads from YouTube videos, plus you get access to some exclusive content as well. Another thing you could try is checking out Multitechverse, they have some great articles and forums where you can get tips and tricks on how to optimize your Smart TV or Firestick experience. Hope that helps!

Yes those ads on YT are really annoying. Wish there was a way to block them ads on a Smart TVs, like you can on your PC.

Have Firetvstick 4K with Alexa on my 4K HDTV and it works great. Alexa voice commands work great and takes the place of a keyboard. Voice works great on all the SmartTV apps including going in the Internet. This essentially turns the SmartTV into a huge second PC monitor. It plays anything you desire.

YouTube is all I need. Forget cable. I will use YouTube and IPTV.

You can side load an app called "Smart Tube Net" on the Firestick - works a charm...

Yout is not going to be free anymore. It will be like the old TV System 1980's with commercials.

.
It's probably not gonna exist at all. YouTube premium so far has failed. The negs Of YouTube keep on falling up. Maybe I'll survive for a while because like facebook. Facebook is effectively dead to the new generation. An American tik tok will end youtube

Brave browser on my PC blocks YouTube ads, I use an HDMI cable to hook up my computer to my larger HDTV and watch YouTube that way.

Back in 2019, PIA was acquired by a company with a long and storied history of malware.

Geo-location blocking can be bypassed with any VPN that has servers in multiple countries, but many streaming platforms are starting to block VPN endpoints so that may be coming to an end soon.

10 devices is a big number. And it's significantly cheaper than any other VPN despite having more servers to connect to. So how do they keep those prices that low? 🤷‍♂️

Before PIA was acquired by KAPE, they had their logs subpoenaed for use in a court case and proved they didn't keep any, as was claimed. But post-acquisition no public case has come out to confirm if that's still the case.

NordVPN and PureVPN have both had logs subpoenaed and have since removed the claim they don't keep logs from their website, which establishes that the practice is to claim you don't keep logs until it's proven that you do.

I personally do not trust PIA if I'm looking for true anonymity. If that's just a bonus, fantastic. If you actually need anonymity (like if you're a reporter wanting to talk to sources that you need to protect), I wouldn't trust it.

Thanks for the info, I just installed Brave browser and without any configuration/plugins/addons it totally stopped all the YouTube ads.
