I thankyou for your consideration as I am not an expert , but I am stating what I have read
from what I consider reliable sources

Anyone else care to chime in ?
I agree with Kitty 100% as she has explained it. The service and the act is legal but asking for it is not.

Wrong!

For example, what does a 15 year old female do when an uncaring mother who prefers her abusive boyfriend kicks them out?
Given that she is a minor, she goes to the police to report her mother for failing to provide the necessities of life. The police then contact children’s aid who then get her into foster care.

Most kids don't want to report their parents and foster care is an absolute nightmare, most of it is privately owned with horrendous conditions and abuse.

Or worse, they report their parents and are brought right back to them by the police.
Now the parents are pissed and the abuse is worse.
Children's Aid will take the word of the parents if the home is clean, food is plentiful and there are no extreme immediate signs of abuse. They just consider the teenager troubled.
Trust me, this scenario happens.

It seems a lot of people on this board have no clue or don't care to have a clue.

Life is not so black and white for some.

There is a reason youth shelters exist, although available spots are scarce.

There is not always an easy answer, choice or simple solution for everything.

It isn't really a new law, it was passed almost 11 years ago.
Hey buddy, on a totally different thought...the next time you're down this way stop in and I can give you a place to stay while you're here, don't worry about paying me, we can work something out...

I have to side with the father in this case. Pat was 30 years old when this song came out, and she's already had several multiplatinum albums. You could have afforded a place of her own by then.

I first met Alison on Christmas eve in 2014. I'm guessing she was about ten years old at the time.

Alison is a street person, Black and she has the vitilago condition:

Vitiligo-hand-titel.jpg

with patches of discoloured skin on her face, and probably other parts of her body.

She was sitting in a doorway next to a McDonald's close to Queen Street East and Church Street in Toronto. I gave her $10 and told her that I couldn't offer her a place to sleep, because that would be inappropriate.

I saw Alison several times in 2017. By this point, she was a crack addict. I'd usually give her little things if I saw her, like a chocolate bar, a lighter or a couple of cigarettes. Normally I'd never offer tobacco to a child, but when the alternative is her trying to smoke sidewalk buts, it's the lesser of two evils. One time a saw a children's aid worker attempting to get her to agree to come to a shelter, and she refused. You can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped.

I saw her again on Saturday morning. I recognized her from the vitilago spots. She was walking on the sidewalk with some old Boomer. Something told me that charity was not his only motive.

She'd be about twenty years old now, but her face looked 60. I'm guessing her height and weight would be about four foot nine, and under 70 pounds. If there is a Christian heaven, this is someone who should get waived through 'customs', because she's already survived at least ten years of hell on Earth.

It's basically FWB/SB if they both agree to the terms. A lot of SBs out there wanting to see their SD 2-4 times a month and want the guy to generally pay for their rent or more.

My two cents...

Buying sex is illegal. Selling it is not. Sound confusing? It is.

Actually, buying and selling sex is contrary to the Criminal Code.

However, the law also contradicts itself by giving the seller of sex an exemption (stay?) against being arrested for it. I think it's part of the Swdish Model or whatever that makes the presumption that all sex workers are victims.

It would be legal if you signed a contract to shoot onlyfans videos in that apartment and as a business deal you can film with the landlord and stay there.

Hate to say it but you are very naive. That's how it is supposed to work. But the reality is much different. And even then, the "foster care" system is a nightmare of its own. Over my lifetime, I have known 3 women who were sexually assaulted (while minors!) on a regular basis by their mother's new live-in BF's . In 2 of the 3 cases, the mother not only refused to believe them, they accused their daughter of lying etc. even when there was physical evidence.

In all cases, the cops didn't believe the girls, at first. One was even dismissed by the local Children's Aid Society. Terrible stories.

In 2 of the 3 cases, I helped them get hooked up with lawyers and sued everyone involved. Especially the CAS and CCAS and the specific workers who blew the girls off. Except the police because in both cases, the cops finally did investigate and lay charges. One guy did 8 years INSIDE and the other 5 of a 7 year sentence..

It's a fucked up world for a pretty young girl with so many predatory men in positions of influence/authority who are unable to control themselves. And in so many cases, the victim is so damaged by the abuse that they would rather sleep on the streets than stay at home or go into 'the system'.

EVERYTHING has a loophole... UNTIL she simply breathes that she felt pressured into sex once and then bing-bang-boom... YOU are arrested and released on bail/recognizance with the condition you stay away from her. And guess where she is? in your HER home.

No wonder so many guys get in trouble... always thinking of pussy or somehow getting their dick wet. And yes, this includes the most common sex for a place to live scam... marriage.

Did they stay at your place "rent free" while the lawsuit was pending?

On a serious note, this thread is not about underage individuals. It's about consenting adults agreeing to a specific type of arrangement.

Adults don't have to provide sex for housing. They may feel that they do, but there are always options and alternatives available.

And most situations never reach the point where seeking options is required if:

The individual is responsible and has a job.

Surrounds themselves with good people; colleagues, family, friends.

They're not drug addicts or alcoholics.

For women specifically, they don't date nor have kid with dudes like this:

But you can't always save people from themselves.

That is what the contract is for, film/lease, whatever you want to call it. Only reason you dont see porn stars claiming rape because they had a bad shoot.
