Beautiful day in downtown Toronto...shattered by loud, unrequested musical selections.

Is it just me or is anyone else bothered by those that play their music in their cars at a decibel level that would get most union reps filing workplace grievances!

In the winter when they did this...all you can hear is the dull thump and as the car windows vibrate...now with the nice weather we are to be inflicted with their musical tastes that make sidewalk conversations momentarily impossible.

I'm not a big rap fan....but if I listen to it, I would like to be able to chose when and where!

My rant for the day! Harumph....

Out there
Unfortunately a lot of people feel it is their "right" to inflict their musical taste or rather lack of it on everyone else. If they have a "right" to play music they also have a responibility to play it in a way that does not disturb others. :(

hmmm

I am one of those car people however I do not play it as loud as I think you are refering too (i am a bit funny about it too) I don't play rap and actually can't stand seeing some car pull up with "f this bitch that,,,, slut this and so on when kids are around, it makes me MAD

But on the other hand I paid for my car (old school baby blue nova) and even more for my stereo system . I did'nt buy it to play it quiet. I listen to alot of euro and house so usually there's no words. (than again i am usually the girl at the rave/club screaming at the top of my lungs at the speakers LOUDER LOUDER

shades I promise next time I pull up I will turn it down :X

stereos I don't mind so much it's when people but ps2 and dvd players into the head rests that it gets excessive to me. I can't help but think about Chris Rock's comedy routine about cars. How people drive around with dvd's in the head rests and 22 inch rims yet can't feed or clothe their kids.

I am Guilty of this too but I do this only with good music. of course not everyone is going to say the music i like is good. But who could say no to The Who or Jimmi Hendrix, Zepplin, Beatles and even Ozzy.

It's impolite to not share a good driving tune.
Deep Purple's "Highway Star" or Golden Earring's "Radar Love" must be cranked to eleven to be fully appreciated by those around me. :D

The best thing to do with these individuals who are obviously starving for atttention....is not to give them any.

hey Big A,

First chance I get, I always pump the speakers up a little louder than usual whenever "Maneater" comes on the radio.

"oh oh here she comes...
watch out boy she'll chew you up!
Whoa oh here she comes,
She's a Maneater!"

I guess I'm a bit guilty too though you'll never hear me playing basshead music.. And now that I installed XM, I might get worse.
