'Younger wife' for marital bliss

Jade4u

It's been good to know ya
As if we need a study to tell us this. Get her young and mold her into the kind of wife you want her to be.
Yes, then take her and lock her away from the rest of the world so she has no outside influences/friends who's opinions may differ. She may after all change her mind if there is outside influences. You would not want her to be a free thinker and think for herself now would you?

Best not let her watch T.V or read books etc... either they may give her some ideas too.

This is only based on my personal experiences and I realized I had nothing in common with guys 15+ years older to commit to a long term relationship. That is my preference just as some men who are older will not date women their own age and find younger women. I'm not saying they're not fun or interesting to be with.. hell some of the best times I've had were with older men but settling down with one? No.. there are too many differences for me and I'm not exactly young and impressionable either. I'm at the age where I've lived life and know what I want now. Besides, most of the older men I knew were married ( and I knew they'd never leave their wives) with the exception of one and in retrospect I had nothing in common with any one of them. Naturally sex was the common denominator and in turn they may have felt more self confident dating a younger woman. Some good times? Yes but that's it. I guess you could say my ideals and opinions have changed over the years. And yes, some older men are still better in the sack and know how to please a woman.
That just tells me you don't know what you want in life. There is a difference in dating older guys and dating older married guys. Most married guys have affairs for lack of sex or trying to feel young again and they will do and tell you anything you want to hear just to get you in the sack.
Single older guys would be different.

'Younger wife' for marital bliss

The secret to a happy marriage for men is choosing a wife who is smarter and at least five years younger than you, say UK experts.

These pairings are more likely to go the distance, particularly if neither has been divorced in the past, according to the Bath University team.

The findings predict a happy future for pop star Beyonce Knowles, 28, and rapper husband Jay-Z, 39.

The work is published in the European Journal of Operational Research.

The researchers studied interviews of more than 1,500 couples who were married or in a serious relationship.

Five years later, they followed up 1,000 of the couples to see which had lasted.

For better or worse

They found that if the wife was five or more years older than her husband, they were more than three times as likely to divorce than if they were the same age.

HAVE YOUR SAY Not so long ago the husband had to be older than his wife in order to be able to support a family, but such criteria are not so relevant now women have been educated to be able to command good jobs, so I suggest the basis for a successful marriage should be tolerance
Marion Monahan, Bristol
Send us your comments If the age gap is reversed, and the man is older than the woman, the odds of marital bliss are higher.

Add in a better education for the woman - Beyonce has her high school diploma, unlike husband Jay-Z - and the chances of lasting happiness improve further.

Those who have never divorced fare better too. But couples in which one member has been through a divorce in the past are less stable than those in which both members are divorcees.

Dr Emmanuel Fragniere and colleagues do say that men and women choose partners "on the basis of love, physical attraction, similarity of taste, beliefs and attitudes, and shared values."

But they say that using "objective factors" such as age, education and cultural origin "may help reduce divorce".

Jay-z and Rihanna were spotted at Club Vendome in London last night where they ran up a $12,000 Bar Tab:

They had two of the VIP booths, so all of their people could mingle together. Jay–Z ordered countless bottles of Dom Pérignon champagne along with vodka for both tables and the party really gathered pace. Everyone was trying to get into their area to get a glimpse of them but the security was so tight, many were left standing by the roped off area trying to sneak a peak.’

There was no sign of Jay-Z’s wife Beyonce, who sat the trip out

Jay-Z and Rihanna racked up a £7,000 bar bill during a night out.

The ‘99 Problems’ rapper and the ‘Umbrella’ singer – who is signed to his record label Def Jam Recordings – partied with friends in the VIP lounge at London club Vendome, in the UK city’s exclusive Chelsea district, on Tuesday night (21.07.09).

Jay-Z – who is married to ‘Crazy in Love’ singer Beyonce Knowles – ensured their entourages enjoyed the evening by ordering countless bottles of expensive champagne and vodka.

A source said: “They had two of the VIP booths, so all of their people could mingle together. Jay-Z ordered countless bottles of Dom Perignon champagne along with vodka for both tables and the party really gathered pace.

“Everyone was trying to get into their area to get a glimpse of them but the security was so tight, many were left standing by the roped off area trying to sneak a peak.”

Rihanna, 21, partied until the early hours of Wednesday morning (22.07.09) and kept a low-profile when she left the nightspot.

The source added: “As she walked out of the VIP area she looked in high spirits. But she kept her head down as she made her way out of the club at 3am, avoiding questions from fans as to how she was doing.”

What do you think if a woman is half the man's age. Would it work?

It would never work since there would be too many differences - even the smallest things such as pop culture, certain catch phrases, music or mutual friends can be very different with a man dating a woman half his age. I have dated a few guys who were much older than me.. one was 25+ and others were 15+ years older than me and in the end I realized that we didn't have too much in common. There were a few things we enjoyed together but at the end of the day I don't think it would have been enough for it to survive a long term relationship.

One also has to take into consideration that a younger woman may not want to play nurse to a guy who is 20-25+ years than her in the years to come. This is the way I see it based on my own experiences. Like younger men, older guys can be interesting on a short term basis. Imo it is best to stick with someone closer to your own age in order for a long term relationship to be successful.

I hope you reaize that Jay-z is the former CEO of Def Jam recordings, the label that Rihanna is signed to. He is basically main reason for her massive success. They are also touring together as Rihanna sings on Jay-z new album. All the articles state is that Jay-z and Rihanna were partying with the rest of there entourages.

This is crazy talk. You need to date more older guys until you see how crazy this kind of talk is. Start now, and tell all your girlfriends too.

I am living with a man 20 years older than I am. We don't have those problems. Keep in mind every person is different. I am only 18, but the people who raised me were the same age as his father, so I grew up with the same music, movies, and learned a lot of the old 'lingo'. He and I mesh well together, because we like almost all the same things. What we don't both like we listen/watch/think about when we are apart.
So not everyone is as different due to age as others. Everything comes down to the individual person.
