Convenience store clerk and taxi driver come to mind for the full trifecta.
For just getting raped and killed you have soldiers.
For just getting killed at work you have Cops, pilots, firefighters, miners….
Looking at it from a strictly objective sense, there are a lot of high risk jobs out there. Usually (but not always) they come with an associated premium in compensation. Every individual needs to make their career choices from an informed position. Prostitution is no different.
There are but not where all are possible. We face assault, robbery, rape and murder.
Cops - assault and murder but not robbery or rape
Taxi drivers rape more passengers then get raped. So sorry. You get robbery, assault maybe death on that one. But not all of them.
Store clerks - assaults, robbery, maybe death but not rape. Sorry. You don’t get that one here.
And tons of escorts are survival sex workers with no choice. So you don’t get that one either.
It was an asshole comment to make. I stand by statement. It would be an asshole comment to say to other high risk professionals as well. But in this regard, It undermines the risk we face so I called it out for what it was. I didn’t even get into the cold heartedness of the comment given the article. No care in the world for another human. It was an asshole comment. Period.
