About visas & legal SPs
I would like to re-iterate something that EBS pointed out about immigration laws in Canada and provide a slightly diffent take.
I know of SEVERAL SPs (and there are many strip joint gals) in Canada who are here illegally, having been smuggled in or let in under false pretenses. Many of them work in almost serf-like conditions, being allowed very little free time of their own, and being paid anywhere from 25% - 40% of what the hourly charge is. Out of this they have to pay their own expenses (rent, cell phone). In some cases, their manager has bought them a cell phone, but the bills get sent to him so that he can see just who they call.
Out of this money, they have to pay back their "recruiters/managers" a sum that is often in excess of $10,000 CAD.
Why do they do this? Simple, the countries they come from (Eastern Europe, Asia, South America) are dirt poor and anything (even being a modestly paid hooker) is better than no job or working as a scullery maid.
These ladies get into Canada these days, but are refused entry, for the most part, to the USA.
When I think about this part of the biz, and the a**holes we are helping to support (not the gals), it makes my blood boil.
My suggestion is that, if you are intent on seeing SPs, make sure that she is legal. If she is not, make sure she is at least independent of the blood-suckers that traffic in human flesh.
