The first iraq war had the clear objective to throw out Saddam from Kuwait. That is exactly what the coalition did.
If you want to find blame for those thousands that died afterward, the blame is clearly with the UN.
Add those dead people to the dead in Sudan and in Rwanda. Two more failed UN policies.

Hardly, USA under pressure has only retracted its opposition to IRAN joining WTO, it means nothing to IRAN as they could, and no they will continue to drag this for ever. . . well another 10+ years!
Remember Russia is still trying to get in to WTO too after many years has passed!

Absolutely nothing, the hardliners in IRAN prefer isolation; it is the moderates that play balls in the world arena!
As for pressure . . . well yes, it seems GWB is finally learning the nuts & balls of what diplomacy means in regard to the foreign policies however late that might be even though at a cost of 1000's of dead innocent civilians and busted US image in the world etc. . . .
My question however is, what would GWB answer to his God in the judgment day in regard to 1000's of dead innocent civilians, that he did it for the sake of democracy or what?! I wonder!
