Recently New Years Day Bowl games were all about the SEC kickin the crap out of Big 10 teams. Today it seems the Big 10 has finally shown up
It sounds like you do get it. Oversaturation. What I can't get is the crowds being so small <50%m, some <25%. .
In short, too many bowl games.
It use to be 30. I didn't realize there were that many more. with corporate names, it's hard to keep them straight. It sounds like you do get it. Oversaturation.
I think there were over 40 bowl games, meaning as long as you're in the top 100 teams you make it to a bowl game. Not a very exclusive club. Not a very high caliber of competition in most cases.
They killed the goose that laid the golden eggs.
This one baffles me, 15th ranked NI and a 12th ranked Florida, and Florida is a 14 point favourite.I basically watch only the New Years Day Bowls and the BCS Championship. The Orange Bowl has a shitty matchup this year. Never thought I'd see Northern Illinois in a major bowl
Northern Illinois deserves as much of a shot as a 5 loss Wisconsin going to the Rose Bowl and can the NCAA please ban Big East football? An awful Louisville team against Florida? That would have made an awesome basketball game.I basically watch only the New Years Day Bowls and the BCS Championship. The Orange Bowl has a shitty matchup this year. Never thought I'd see Northern Illinois in a major bowl
I remember when it used to Rose, Orange, Cotton and Sugar. End of story. It use to be 30. I didn't realize there were that many more. with corporate names, it's hard to keep them straight.
