I feel the same way. That's why I'm still hoping for a threesome with Margaret Thatcher and Madeleine Albright.
Seduced by their warmth and charm are you?

Sorry, I have a hard time seperating a person's appearance from their personality. A failure of mine.
So umm... all the SP's you see all have awesome personalities I suppose?

Then you should learn how. The statement is utter poppycock. She says things like this to wind up the gullible, because outrage sells. If you buy nonsense like this, you're a sucker, vivtimized by your own uneducated resentment.

MW
Absolutely. She taps into the ugly emotions of people to make a profit.

And the same goes for people who rush to see Michael Moore's movies also.

Why is it disturbing? Is it because they dont conform to yours? Believe it or not there are alot of people with the same views as his .
Which is why Cindy Sheehan drove me nuts when she accused mothers who lost their sons in Iraq that they obviously don't love their sons very much because they opposed her view of the war.

DQ - completely agree. Unfortunately the people who take a more even stance are ignored because they are not interesting enough... :(

No, but then I don't know of any that spew the relentless venom Coulter does either. How long do you suppose someone like her would last in the business?

How long has Rush been around?
She feeds the passionate partisans what they want.
That's what's happened to the political scenery in
the US for about a decade. Why do you think
Karl Rove and Tom DeLay were so successful.
The difference between Rove & DeLay and
Rush & Coulter is that they aren't political
operatives but political commentators. Attacks,
whether by politicians or commentators, have
been a winning formula.
I meant, with all of her charm, how long would she last as an SP. It was in response to Don's post.

I've known a few SP's during my time who had some nasty baggage and said some shockingly un-PC things. Some people on this board probably can figure out who they were/are. And some of them were quite popular.

This may be--I say may be--a trifle oversimplified, or unfair. Al Franken does claim to be giving back their own medicine to the rightwing schlock jocks. But I think he belongs more in a class with messrs. Colbert & Stewart.
Moore is attempting to document the excesses and, yes, evils of the present political reality. However "biassed" films like Columbine and Roger may be, they are not short on visible, tangible evidence for his views. Unless Moore can be accused of inventing and splicing every single scene of every single film, at least some of what he charges sticks. Most of the loudest yelling about what a liar he is comes from people entirely unprepared to refute what he shows, in many cases because they haven't even seen it in the first place, and/or get so angry that they can't think rationally.
Again, Moore's evidence is right on the screen, for all to see. Where is Coulter's and Limbaugh's? In groundless prognostications and, in AC's case, footnotes that lead nowhere.

Moore's stuff is put together like Fox News puts together their "News" programming - facts mixed with suggestions and presented in a way so that it slants the information towards a poltical bias.

I've watched FOX News and while it is obvious they have an agenda, what they broadcast is actually fact (from the research I've done) and presented in such a way that if you didn't know better (like much of their hardcore audience), you'll believe it and agree with their viewpoint. And they convienently decide to not spend too much time on other facts that oppose thier viewpoint. The same exact thing holds for Moore's work too.

Mebbe. All I'm saying is that Moore is a different breed of cat from Rush, Coulter, and similar snakeoil salesmen. The distinction is worth drawing, is all.

Matalin Defends Coulter’s Attack on 9/11 Widows

Matalin passed on multiple opportunities from Imus to condemn or distance herself from Coulter’s comments. (Instead, Matalin said she agreed with Coulter’s “larger point.”) She also argued the outrage against Coulter was misplaced, saying “She calls somebody a harpy and you’d think that the world was on fire

I dunno 'bout that. Coulter literally looks like a stick insect that would be ripped in two if I farked her. I mean, those skinny, meatless, legs. She really looks like she has stinky farts, ever see her nose.

Now if you said Michelle Malkin (aka: AKA Michelle Maglalang), rather than Michael Moore, you'd certainly have some credibility to the subject.

Example:

She's married with 2 kids. Sorry gents, I already asked Briam Lamb of C-Span to hook me up with her, 'til I was "informed". :p
