How the fuck does the outfied ump in the Yanks-Twins game not make that call properly. He is 15 feet from the play, and ball lands a good foot inside the line. It wasn't even close.

I can understand being wrong on bang/bang plays. And in some sports there is alot of judgment involved that is easily and unfairly criticized.

But this was... this was ridiculous. Easily the worst call I have seen all year.

Mauer ultimately got a single instead of a double.... lets hope that does not cost the Twins. The Yanks don't need a break.

Now with another hit, Mauer may have scored or at least been at third with none out. Now he is at second which is a completely different situation.

Fuck me. The Yanks get out of a bases loaded jam... if Mauer had got a double instead of a single, it would be 4-3 twins.

Delmon Young should go attack this ump like he did in the minors.

Hey MLB, there is something call video replay now. That play begs for a video replay but MLB is is stuck in the 1880's.

That ump should be put to pasture. Has to be one of the worst all time calls. My blind grandmother could have called that right. And she's dead .....

Furthermore

It was about a foot fair, but even if it landed an inch or so foul, it touched the outfielder's glove in fair territory.

Did you notice how emphatic he is with foul call.
He saw it all the way and knew it was fair and purposely called it foul.

Cuzzi, the umpire in question is a New York Wop, he was born in Newark, New Jersey, which makes you a Yankee fan.

All umps and refs in all sports should not be allowed to officiated in their hometowns especially in critical games.

Officiating in all sports is a joke, these idiots fuck up all the time and are never held accountable. especially in Baseball, the game can call itself most of time without the aid of an umpire except for balls and strikes.
90% of plays in the field don't even need an ump and of the 10% of those close plays when they're needed they screw up probably 75% of them.

Way too many bad calls at Yankee stadium over the years and of course they all go in favour of the Yankees, these giant ego small minded umps get to overwhelmed when in New York, they all just want to be part of the crowd.

It makes it really easy to hate the Yankees!

The night before the ump at first base missed 2 calls, one the guy was out by 4 feet.

You go all out and put the told blame on the umpires, but take it out on the Yankees.

Are the umpires maybe influenced by the Yankee Stadium crowd ? Forgive them for being human. Your numbers are BS as well. 75% of the close plays are incorrect in the Yankees favor ? Are you a Red Sox fan ?

Now this is another matter.

Wasn't there an NBA referee who was bought and paid for? Kind of makes you think when that foul call was so blatant:(. We all could use some extra cash to send our kids to private schools.

The NBA Ref bet against spreads. THere are so many judgment slight touch fouls in the NBA that it is easier to get away with.

This is all the more puzzling why this ump made such a blatant screw-up foul call on national TV. Everybody and his brother knows he totally screwed-up.

I'm a Yankee fan and I don't like the call. Nobody wants to win that way. The unusual thing is that the play wasn't even close to being foul and there was not the slightest reaction to the missed call. Hopefuly the twins will catch a break and even things out in game three. Still want the Yankees to take it but not with any blown calls from the umps.

I am a Yankees fan too but them's the breaks and it goes both ways in all sports. As a Twins player said in the post game, despite the umps blunder, they had opportunities to score and put the Yankees away.

They did not...

What for future reference?

Bad calls go both ways and not just in this sport. The Twins player admitted to saying that it was not just a missed call but the fact they had plenty of chances to win the game. Their closer blew it!

The Yankees had the best record in baseball for a reason and great teams find a way to win. The fact Mauer cannot round second base to score is a lack of speed and loading the bases with no outs and choking in any baseball game.

The numbers are figuratively speeking, I'm exaggerating to make the point, if you are not smart enough to realize it? Too bad!

Also, you're being overly sensitive about the slur, don't be such a pussy.

One last thing, I hate the fucking Red Sox also. I'm a Jays fan.
