James Taylor was mainly a songwriter, like Kim Mitchell.

Greatest Canadian song of all time! He even played it at the Juno Awards to thunderous applause.

Kim wrote the music and Pye Dubois wrote the lyrics for Max Webster and Kim Mitchell until they had a nasty falling out a few years ago.

3.9 million thumbs down votes on YouTube.
I wholeheartedly agree that this is the worst song I've ever heard. Rebecca Black was 13 when she recorded this p.o.s., she is now 24 (today is her birthday, btw), and I would welcome the opportunity to give her a tongue-lashing for her past indiscretion.

The Hank Williams Jr. of his time. More like wurst than worst...

After careful consideration: The Telephone Man by Meri Wilson. Irritating singing voice, socially unacceptable lyrics (even in 2003, there was a bit of an outcry) and a total earworm to boot. Hey Lollie Lollie!!

A few worthy mentions in this thread, but most of them can't compare with the following. 70s schmaltz that even made 12 year old me vomit in terror.
