Worst players in the NHL this year.

I came across this and was shocked to notice a glaring omission. A player that no serious team would ever want on their roster.

These aren't the worst players in the NHL these are the most disappointing based on salary and past performance. The worst player in the NHL bar none is Martin Marincin. He shouldn't be on anyone's roster but because Leafs have been decimated on the blue line, he gets a position.

I'll add a couple names to the most disappointing list besides Kessel, Subban and Bobrovsky. Two Flames players - Gaudreau and Monahan are on pace for their worst seasons since their respective rookie years.

Milan Lucic certainly gets a mention. The Leafs dodged a bullet when they traded Kessel, he looks done at big bucks. And letting Jake Gardiner go to free agency was the right decision.

Kessel won 2 cups after he was traded from Toronto. They were rebuilding and tanking. To better their chances at Austin.
That was the plan and they got Austin. Austin is already in his 4th year as Leaf now. It's been several years already that Kessel was a Leaf. He's also no longer on the Pens.
