conversate....my God, it's converse you blathering idiot.

I hate, with every bit of hatred I can muster, when people say "late" instead of goodbye.

most overused has to be the expression: 24/7

my personal favorite: "I have to see a man about a dog", when excusing oneself to use the restroom

I was gonna say/post it but worried that it might offend Canadian Terbites. But sometimes it's really cute when girls say it.

p.s. For the record I really like Canada please go easy flaming me.
No problem, I am Canadian and find myself using it way to often.

On the other hand please don't be offended but, what's with Americans saying 'Uh Huh' instead of 'Your-welcome' when being 'Thanked' for something?

It's kind of wierd eh!

I always thought that saying was "I have to see a man about a horse"

Some of my choices are:

"as useless as brass balls on a monkey"

"about as funny as a hole in the head"

"what it issss"

"sorry due to budget reasons... no raises this year" (told to our entire publication for four years in a row now)

Conversate drives me batty too. So does "drives me batty", actually. And I believe it is "see a man about a horse" but not really sure why we say it. I know I say it sometimes. Drives me insane when people either do the "WASSUP" thing, or on the computer they say "sup?" I always respond "sdown!" Then berate them for being a ***** using that language.

Further ones I hate......YMMV......this is bullshit if you ask me. Either you provide the service or you don't, don't fuck me around figuratively. And any women that say "NO" to me I hate.

Two things come to mind...

Once, a guy asked me if I could do him a "solid" - I almost pulled a "champ" on him - until he told me that "solid" meant "favour" - I still declined doing this guy the "solid".

Any white guy who wants to call his friends "homey/homies/brothers" - If it didn't work for Vanilla Ice - it won't work for you.

"Basically"
"You know?" after a statement

Has anyone heard "assumably" - drives me crazy when this one person uses it, and yes I've tried to correct her.

I think "actually" has become the new "basically"

Unless you're Chevy Chase in Caddyshack, in which case (whilst looking at a wrist NOT adorned with a watch):

"well, I'd love to stay, but I have to see a guy about a thing..."

I agree with the comments about Ebonics, but what about the lesser known, and lesser emulated, "Hebonics"? I love hearing expressions and words like "Oy vey", "shiksa", "schmuck", and the ever popular, "verklempt".

Back to the actual topic, I despise "Don't go there" and "Woo hoo". Nine times out of ten, the people who say "woo hoo" don't even do the inflection correctly. It is annoying.

Two things irk me.
When you ask how someone is and they tell you "good". Well who are they to determine whether they are good or not. They can be well, or fine.... definately not good.
One other - misuse of the word "like". I'm like going to school, or Im like at the mall. Well my friend you are it or you're not. If not you are like an idiot!!!.

Fake use of Cockney slang - Boat Race (face) for example anyone who new what they were talking about would use a contraction to Boat.

Some hash sexual ones include:

Going through a dry spell
Getting the dirty water off your chest - Yuck

It's ancient, I like it, and I keep using it because it expresses revulsion and disgust so well:

"Life sucks farts off dead chickens"

If you've ever been downwind of a bloated dead chicken in August, you'd know just how disgusting the idea of sucking those fumes is...
