I was channel surfing on the direct tv and unfortunately stumbled acroos Britney Spears " Live From Miami " and don't get me wrong, I would do Britney Spears in a second but her live performance is a total rip off and I sympathize for anyone who pays to see her in concert.

- Not only does Britney rip off Madonna with her bedroom-like sex
show but Britney continues to LIP SYNC the entire concert! The few minutes I tuned in for was probably the worst 2 minutes I have ever witnessed by a performer, if you want to call her that.
I saw Madonna in concert and with all the dancing and Vegas like show she set the standard for, Madonna NEVER had to lip sync!

I feel sorry for the people who actually paid for this concert in Miami and it won't be long before the media and concert goers everywhere figure out this scam of a performer and Britney ends up much like Mili Vinilli ( spelling ) and others before her ended up!

Seriously people, for anyone else that had the chance to tune into this hideous concert for at least a moment, did you notice how out of sync the Lip syncing was with the dancers and Britney doing the parts when it was the background vocals on tape? Honestly a truly pathetic performance that Britney herself would be embarrassed to watch over but I'm sure not ashamed by the $$$ she takes in.

Good Grief! What has the music industry come to?????

A few thousand of her fans petitioned for her to not lipsync anymore of her shows. Her managers/handlers have stated that some of her songs are just too complex to sing and dance to. In all honesty, I doubt anybody actually thinks of Britney of a musician anyways. In a way, she is being honest with what she is, an entertainer and a conglomerate with many different products, and hundreds of people working to bring these products out. She never professes to write her own material or to make her own music.

They should have named the band officially "Van Hagar" Thats what everyone calls them anyways. It would have showed a little bit of respect for the orignal band too..

Thank God, to respect the "Diamond one" , no roth era songs should be done on this reunion tour.

Maybe the new "country" Bret Michaels can open for Van Hagar? Then the entire fucking show can be a joke.

The only reason why i would watch a britney spears concert would be in the hopes of seeing a "costume malfunction" or whatever Janet called it.

Scathing review of concert

I saw this in the Post this weekend.

Almost as good as the Vanity Fair piece ripping apart Celine Dion's vegas concert.

On Friday night, the comedian Chris Rock stood on stage at the MGM and said his only job in life is to keep his daughter "off the pole": "They don't grade fathers, but if your daughter is a stripper, you (messed) up."

The very next night on the same stage, Britney Spears slid down a stripper's pole in front of 13,300 people, then walked over to a bed and pretended to hump a dude.

This came right after she sang a ballad called "Touch of My Hand," during which she stripped off a white robe, revealing a nude body suit, and rubbed both hands over herself while on her back in a motion simulating masturbation.

There's nothing wrong with that in my book, in theory. But in reality, B.S.'s new tour is an unfocused bore of false sexuality, horrible songs, trite choreography, unfocused themes and less ambition than a house cat that sits around licking itself all day.

It all comes down to 1 thing. Knowing how to differentiate between an ENTERTAINER and an ARTIST.


Entertainers are people that put on a show/front that the record company has created for them.

Artists are people that answer to no-one. They either write their own music or play their own music or produce their own music, etc.


Britney, Christina, etc. are ENTERTAINERS.

Madonna, U2, Metalica, etc. are ARTISTS.
