Dude. He's always been anti-interventionist. Fucks sakes, he was even against the war in Iraq. (even a broken clock is right twice a day). Imagine how much easier it is for him to oppose military intervention now that one of "them" is in the white house.

Pat Buchanan is a traditional republican. He makes the distinction that neocons that now run the Republican party are not true republicans. True republicans like Eisenhower were against US involvement in foreign wars, especially against those countries that were not a direct threat to the US, and also were against the close association between big corporatioins and politicians. Also, it was Democrats that got the US involved in Vietnam. It was also Nixon, a Republican, that got the US out of Vietnam, and opened the door to Red China; if the neocons had been in power then, it would never have happened.

Some say that, in reality, the Neocons are Leninists: that's the spreading of a doctrine throughout the word through military force.

Nixon pulled out because the Americans were in a monetarily and politically costly war that they couldn't win.

what is the ideology that neocons are trying to spread?

also: Eisenhower used cia black-ops to overthrow the government of iran and guatemala.... during nixon's regime, kissinger used black-ops to overthrow allende in chile....

Pretty much. Putin's media (like RT) make out as if Pat B is the smartest, most respected and popular politician in the US - instead of a fruit-loop playing in his own little stadium - because he can ALWAYS be counted upon to slam any foreign policy initiative ANY other politician comes up with and demand that the US stay out of wherever the hell it is today.
