No, he couldn't be bothered going to Sweden over Christmas. HE won two Gold, one he was supposed to not have had a shot at (USA and Russia were the favourites last year before the tourney started, only two Canadians returned). Sutter also is the GM and sole owner of his team in Red Deer, it isn't just a simple matter of hopping on a plane and letting his assitant run the team back home for him.
The big ice didn't mean diddly. The players do the playing, the coaches point out the problems. I don't think for a second Sutter would be scared or unable to coach a team on big ice. IT aint rocket science, it is hockey, and 3 in a row just proves once again the depth and skill of our kids coming up....
