I am with the others in that I don't think Messi deserved the golden ball award and would have liked to see it go to Muller or Rodriguez but I am glad that Neuer received the golden glove, he made a strong showing this tournament and was instrumental in getting the Germans the win.
It wasn't Messi's decision. I'm sure Messi wasn't happy with receiving it either. So piss on all who says he don't deserve it.
Expect Germany to move in to top spot in the Fifa rankings. Argentina should move up a few spots too.
