The buses and subway trains are actually fairly new. It's the SRT, streetcars and signaling systems that are old and run down. The buses and subways are old, run down, not working properly. That is fact. Seems pretty shitty to me.

My apologies, but didn't the subways have AC issues? Those are new?The buses and subway trains are actually fairly new. It's the SRT, streetcars and signaling systems that are old and run down.
The trains on the Bloor line are from the late 90's early 2000's and did have A/C issues, which are apparently fixed now. The trains on the Yonge line came in around 2010-2012 and don't have any A/C issues yet. You can tell you're on those trains because you can walk the entire length of the train from the inside. My apologies, but didn't the subways have AC issues? Those are new?
And I know TTC got new buses/streetcars in but are they all on the roads now. I know there was a huge delay in them.
Not saying that is the fault of the TTC, but it would lead to its services issues.
Yep. The driver closed the front door after she boarded and was presumably standing behind the 'safety line' (or he wouldn't have let her on). However he kept the back doors open, allowing too many to board so she got jostled and pushed forward over the line. Then he tells HER to gtfo lol.It was a short, peaceful protest.
She got her point across, I would have been pissed as well.
Agree and I would further add that whether or not you concur with what she did, character assassinations (e.g. self-entitled twat, stupid bitch) IMO are completely unnecessary and say far more about the members character using such foul language than about the young woman in question.Yep. She had a right to be pissed.
It's insane that people are trying to track her down.. crazies making threats of violence.
A friend lives at Yonge/Bloor and takes the subway d/t in the mornings. He often has to wait while 3-4 or 5 pass to finally get up to the doors and sandwiched into a train. He half-joked recently that TTC is soon going to need to hire guys to push people in like they used to do in Tokyo.
For sure, she had a right to be pissed since she already paid the fare. Protesting in that fashion was a dumb move though and I'm not even referring to inconveniencing other people. How easy would it have been for a car to pass that bus and hit her?Yep. Hey Canada-Man, how about you comment on these very civilized and classy Jamaicans on The TTC.
