Just when all us MP hobbyists thought that the heat was finally off us, incidents (and shmucks) like this give LE and government another reason to target us. If they can't use the Criminal Code as an excuse, they'll crack-down saying that MP's aren't safe.

Yes, let's hope the lady makes a full recovery. MP's are still safer than driving a cab, running a convenience store or shopping at a shoe store (Jane Creba). Yet, there is no outcry to shut down the cab industry when a cabdriver is murdered and there have been many over the years. Not even an outcry to install protection shields.

A local (KW) SP I see has been thinking seriously of a self defense course for industry workers. She wants to provide this free to all industry workers. After reading this I am going to try to make her commit. Not that self defense will help with a gun, but just knowing how to handle yourself might be a great thing.
