Well, at least Matthews won something, a Gold medal. Congrats to the USA. Nice touch for Johnny Gaudreau raising his sweater in game celebrations. We will get it back in 2030.

Katy Perry for a Hockey Gold medal.
I'd make that trade all day.

How many fucking misses?
Same with the women's team.
If you dont take your chances it'll come back to bite you in the ass.
Next winter Olympics will be in 2030 in France

We lost the game not because the US was better but because we couldn't finish to save our lives. Three breakaways, two missed open nets and Hellebuyck playing bonkers. Not to mention shit reffing that missed the most blatant too many men on the ice I've ever seen. McDavid and Mackinnon just didn't have it when it counted most. And how many nets did Macklin miss? Still I can't be mad at the youngster, he was dynamic all tournament. To me the biggest surprise (pleasant) on our team.

That was a great 2nd period. 19 shots.

It was nice seeing Makar take a shot from a bit further out. Hellebuyk is so big it's hard to beat him from in close. The shooter has no angles.

I liked Mike Johnston's "double doink".

And I hate those dirty Tkaczuks.

Marchand must have mishandled the puck about 8 times so far.

Well, lookie here. US mens beat Canada by the exact same score of 2 to 1 and in overtime. So, according to your definition that would make the US team "far superior now".

Moronic post. Once again, you put your lack of clear thinking on full display.

Come back when the US has beaten Canada 6 times in a row. Until then keep......shut.

Go back to 5on5 especially for a gold/silver medal. It'd be a damn shame if Stanley Cup finals OT was 4on4 or less. I don't care if the game goes on for another 6 hours.
Agreed. The Olympics shouldn't take men off the ice in any tourney OT.

I don't care what the NHL or MLB do in the regular season, but they shouldn't monkey around with the rules in the playoffs.
Can't stand World Cup shootouts in the tourney stage, but everyone seems to gotten use to it.
