Windows Vista Help Needed

Word is from the beta testers: Service Pack 1 makes Vista 10% slower.

In regards to Smylee52, I had a Linksys router, then purchased a D-Link before I got this laptop. If it weren't for the decent wireless card in this laptop, I wouldn't be connected to the internet at this moment.

I think that the Vista Service Pack 1 is due to be released soon; perhaps it can alleviate some of these roll-back issues...

Me too. Linksys upgraded to D-Link . Thx for the info on Service Pack 1 I'll keep an eye out for it . 10% speed reduction is negligible for my applications so like you I'll be optimistic until proven otherwise . Off to bed I have Xmas shopping to do tomorrow.
