So I switched over to the beta version of Windows Live Mail that replaces Hotmail. I dont really like it and want to switch back to Hotmail. When I tried (which took some hunting around just to figure out where the bloody option is  ), there was a warning message that my Hotmail account may not have 2 MB of space anymore.

My question is this: If I had 2 MB before, will I still have 2 MB? Is the message just that you might lose the 2 MB that Windows Live Mail gives you if you go back to an old Hotmail account that didnt have 2 MB in the first place?

If Im going to lose the 2MB I always had just because I was stupid enough to try out Windows Live Mail, Ill be mighty pissed!

(and yeah, my fucking apostrophe isnt working with Firefox either. Get a fucking patch already!!!!!)

I tried that Live mail and didn't like it. I didn't get that warning when I switched back to MSN hotmal. But I had to answer a lot of questions WHY I didn't like it, before it let me go back to my previous hotmail.

I guess when you sign on to the Live mail, you are a Beta tester. You dont just quit but to tell them what's wrong with it!

Of course you do. Live gives you 2 GB. It's when you go back to Hotmail that I'm asking about.

I didn't like the Live Mail either and switched it back to the basic version. I remember that warning about the space as well but wasn't worried since I wasn't using much anyways. Well, it did reduce it to 250MB though I don't know what would have happened if I was taking up more space than that. Come to think of it, I had 2GB with Hotmail before switching to WLM so I don't know why they would screw you like that.

Last week, there was a notification to try the "light" version of Windows Live, which I did. The storage went back up to 2GB. Maybe there's an option to try the light version before going straight back to Hotmail?
