So far looks interesting and clean. Obviously taking elements learned from creating Windows Phone 7

Microsoft’s Windows 8 Demo From D9 (Video)

You’ve heard about it and now you can see it.

Here’s the full Windows 8 demo from Microsoft Windows Unit President Steven Sinofsky and VP Julie Larson-Green.
For more on Windows 8, check out our analysis, as well as a post on several factors still unknown about the forthcoming operating system

click the link above for the 20 minute walk-through and discussion

it's a pretty radical departure for MS, reminiscent of the change from DOS to Win 3.0 or from Win 3.1 to Win95
the OS is designed to work with Mouse and Keyboard as well as Touch only

So developers can create one app that will run on desktops/notebooks and their tablets/phones. A windows 8 tablet becomes much more interesting if it can run MS Office etc and Angy Birds, Pulse etc. Dock it with a keyboard etc only when you really need it.

Cool, 85% of that was an iPad demo but yeah I see moving to a unified OS and an interesting move... now how large do you suppose that footprint will be...

LOL

LOL!

Here we go again.
M$ is getting ready to pick your pockets again, then of course you will have to shell out more for M$ Office, etc., upgrades! Then Apple of course will follow suite.

Thank goodness I'm free of all this BS with FREE Linux.....:clap2:

Seeing this makes me feel like computing is no longer geeky, but rather stupified.

I think the goal is to get the technology out of the way so that for the 95% of people not interested in the technology can use it....

Generally if folks are not interested in a certain thing or technology, they simply don't bother to use it....
