No need for them to come in colors. The design makes a lot more sense than those tall, spindly things. They should put them all around the berms for the power reservoirs in Lewiston and Queenston. Plenty of wind up there most of the time...

If they are efficient they can come in any colour you want.
But if the vertical axis design is not as good when shaped like a flower, then its going to cost you in terms of energy output.

Weirdly though, a lot of what has evolved naturally is pretty efficient.
Just until recently it was very challenging to manufacture clones of natural structures on a macro scale.

I have no idea as to the efficiency of these new units compared to the windmill design. But if they will be more readily acceptable in more communities, the uptick in units being deployed could more than make up for any decrease in efficiency.

The turbines in the power project itself are all vertical axis. Also, they should be easier to maintain with the critical components at ground level vs. 50 or 100 feet in the air....
