US security officials have classified the left-wing group Antifa as "domestic terrorists", confidential documents have revealed.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has reportedly been warning about the growing threat of violence between left-wing anarchists and right-wing nationalists since 2016, amid claims Antifa's activity has become more confrontational, according to documents seen by Politico.

A confidential intelligence report by the DHS and the FBI accused the "anarchist extremists" of attacks on police, government and political institutions, along with any other symbols of the "capitalist system" or displays of racism, social injustice or fascism.

It described some of their activities as "domestic terrorist violence".

This is the same NY Times that never reported on WTC 7 collapsing on 9-11. Even though it was never struck by a plane. And was only a block away. Why would anybody believe this yellow rag ?
That's because WTC7 didn't collapse until after 5PM that day, long after the site — and a whole chunk of Lower Manhattan — was closed to all but first responders. The Times had far bigger stories to pursue for the next day's edition. Whether a unimportant neighbouring building might also have collapsed, but without casualties, wouldn't have been worth more than a sentence or two, if they'd been allowed on-site to note it. When you can say you've searched without finding any such note, then you'll have made the tiniest of points — about one newspaper, on one frantic day.

They certainly did cover the nascent controversy just a few weeks later.

I was driving on Spadina when the WTC7 came down. The report was that the building was gutted by fire from the previous collapses. A side story, at best on that day.
