Will the A-Team movie be any good?

Yeh when you see the trailers and your're thinking this looks like a piece of crap usually it is. I'm really getting to be a crotchedy old fart. I used to be an avid movie goer and now it's maybe two or three times a year.
It seems 90% of the offerings are basically CGI driven special effects exercises with just enough plot and character development to support the special effects.

I actually somewhat agree with Mr. T's criticism of the movie. But I'm willing to give it a shot.
The Star seemed optimistic about the movie's chances. Having recently sat thru Robin Hood for almost 2 1/2 interminable hours I'm thinking some recycled explosions and cheesy lines may not be so bad after all.
I couldn't sit through an episode that was on the other day either. It wasn't the same at all. I guess you can't go back sometimes.
From the clips it looks like they are trying to make the Face character the main one whereas in the show all the characters pretty much got equal treatment. I find that's a formula for bad remakes - like Mission Impossible.
IT'S GOING TO SUCK... AND I DON'T MEAN SUCK LIKE A BLOW JOB SUCK.... WHY do people always think they can go back and re-live the past.

I think people have to give the director a chance on this one. Joe Carnahan makes solid films. Narc was awesome, Blood, Guts, Bullets and Octane was a great first effort and Smokin' Aces was a blast to watch. Ever since I heard he was attached I have predicted it would be a good one. Even after Rampage signed on. Even after I saw some stupid trailer with a tank falling out of the sky.
I'm not an A-Team fan boy either. I remember watched it for awhile as a kid than disliking it because they kept recycling the same stupid plot line of being stuck somewhere and having to create some sort of weapon out of nothing.

I watched it last night.. I went in with some low expectations, but came out pleasantly surprised.
The story itself isn't so bad, just some of the action is over the top ridiculous. It had some really good humour, and not enough jessica biel.

It was pretty entertaining if you don't go in expecting anything genre changing. Its a hollywood movie with explosions, what are people hoping for? Its like expecting a comic movie to be good, subtle and have realistic science.
I agree. Saw it a couple of nights ago, it is very entertaining. It has a decent plot, great use of comedy and not an over the top cheese factor.
It was worth the price of admission. I would recommend that people go see it if they wish to be entertained for a couple of hours.
