Why we do hate the Protesters?

Yes, some walls will be spray painted, some windows will be smashed, yes some property will be vandalized, but this is small potatoes compared with the pain the government inflicts on us through their own violence(taking money by force, ex: taxes).
So, you condone violence and vandalism. Enough said.
Indeed!

Further Plan B, seemingly you have a problem with the concept of democracy. Most of the electorate in Canada does not agree with the viewpoint of those protesting, so their solution is to riot and destroy others property?

Wait till it moves to France....
France will be terrible. Not only did they lose in soccer ("the boring game") but they just raised the retirement age to 59 or something like that. They are in a foul mood. Thank goodness, they haven't won a war since Napoleon's retreat.

Actually I don't mind protesters. At least they have the balls to go out and voice their discontent. I draw the line at violence. A bit of property damage is probably unavoidable. I think the Govt should fully compensate businesses which have suffered damage though.

Once violence or destruction of property is committed, they stop being 'protestors' or 'activists' and become criminals and should be treated as such.

Thats cause their tanks only had reverse gears :)
I thought that was the Italians.

French soldiers always fought well throughout history but often were badly commanded.

If De Gaulle would have been head of the French Army in 1939, things might have been different as he championed 'blitzkrieg' tactics in a military treatise that he wrote prior to the war.

I find myself having to re read your posts to make sure Im not missing something. You do realise that if there was no tax or as you put it government violence, we would have no police, no ems, no fire department, no healthcare, no education, no roads or highways, no public gardens and no welfare or any other social service ( this list could continue for pages). Sounds like a place I want to live
We are simply taxed to much, to the point, where there is a disincentive to make more money...and when there are too many taxes, the underground economy flourishes. Many things are now bought under the table, simply because people are tired of being robbed by the government. When a billion dollars are spent on the G20 security, you can make the conclusion that your government isn't exactly being efficient in how they use our money.

Maybe the protesters ( to be specific the ones burning cars, throwing rocks etc) garner so much heat because when it comes to their rights ( right to protest etc ) the laws are absolute , but when it comes the vandalism , disturbing the peace, destruction of private property etc, the laws are suddenly no longer absolute.

Plan B, you should put on a suit and tie, grab a big Starbucks coffee and go downtown. See how much your beloved protestors value and respect your freedoms and liberties.........

Perhaps he is too busy re-reading What Should be Done.

I appreciate protesters standing up for what they believe - they aren't the ones with the masks causing the violence.
I think the anarchists are the ones causing all the problems and should be dealt with as harshly as possible.

The recent media coverage of the protesters has been awfully one sided...Listening to the radio talk show hosts on AM640 and CRFB 1010 would lead people to believe that all protesters are people who don't have jobs, and don't pay any taxes. They have been ridiculed beyond belief.

Throughout history, many social movements that have been very worthwhile have had their inceptions through protests and some civil disobedience. The Civil Rights movement, Gay Rights, and Labour movements when workers were exploited come to mind.

Are we that pro-establishment and conservative that we mock others for standing up for what they believe in. Would people be happier if they just shut up, and were obedient citizens?
You don't appear to have the slightest ability to understand that there are different types of protestors here and that the ones that are causing the destruction and violence have no cause, are neither Conservative or Liberal, and have no real regard for the other peaceful demonstrators.

Until you can distinguish those with a legitimate cause or point of view and those that simply thrive on being anti-anything how can you raise a legitimate question or form a rationale opinion?
