Why the Dems will only get a marginal boost after the SC strikes Roe v Wade(IMHO).

seems like a tall order...do you think the right can attack same sex marriage and still be elected?

In GOP primaries and red state elections, YES. In general elections, I think so. The election of Trump has taught me almost anything is possible now.

And I too can seek a ban for this or that- Brussel sprouts, for example. It doesn't mean that my fellow citizens agree. Some even enjoy the vile thing. The voters will have a say and an accommodation will be reached that, of course will vary from state to state.
That's why some things are important and fundamental to be left up to the whims of state elections. My Mother was born in the state of Mississippi in 1936, guess what those voters allowed back then.....Jim Crow laws all over the place!

also, Maher said. "If you like babies, then you're pro-life and if you're pro-women, you're pro-choice."
Is that what pro life actually is though? They like babies? Because some women say that it’s to control women.
Maher is an idiot, I though most people knew that.
"I like babies" is not the pro-life position and it takes a special kind of stupid to believe it is.

As for same-sex marriage - it polls about the same as Roe v Wade. No reason at all they won't go after it.
First you use the same legal reasoning Alito just used to overturn Obergefell and when people complain you just say you are "sending it to the states".
Same basic tactic. Work on reversing the public opinion of homosexuality (that's part of what the whole "groomer" thing is about) in the meantime.

I kind of think they might go for Lawerence first (sodomy laws), but maybe they will just do them together.

86 years ago means nothing, the same sentiment is alive well, the Civil War ended in 1865, why do I still see Confederate battle flags today!
