Why the Catholic Church will never change

What is really interesting is that the Cardinals are 2 thirds European, however, Europe only makes up 15 percent of world wide catholics and for that matter, a quarter of the cardinals are Italian, but Italians only make up 6 percent of Catholics.

I think it's at least time for a Central Amerian to be pope.

i don't believe in god and i don't go to church. it is not for me. my daughter goes to church and believes in god and i encourage it and don't tell her different. she says it makes her feel happy and she likes helping other people and tells me it has a good message. i never worry about my daughter going to church alone, i would never send my son to church alone lol.

if church and believing in god helps you and makes you happy then who am i to argue. flip the coin and a lot of church goes i know tell me i am going to hell for not going to church and let me know i am a bad person for not going. not all of them but a lot. so it makes me wonder why "you" going to church is fine by me and i would never say otherwise but me not going gives "you" a right to get in my face and tell me i am a bad person.

edit- i forgot about atheists for a minute. those assholes are as bad about religion as church goers. i can hardly talk to them either they almost always crank the conversation to religion and then crobar all of their thoughts in. they are an annoying bunch as well.

pretty sure you are being sarcastic. i have been subject to onslaughts of religious thought by both sides without provocation. both sides are equally annoying with their religious rhetoric.

she asked to go with her grandma one day. she said she enjoyed herself. i was asked if i cared and i said no but when she gets older if she asks me about religion i will be honest with her about it. same with ghosts and whatnot if they are real, she wants to know but i still think she is to young to talk about it.

Actually all in the RC Church take that vow, some late in life, after a period of time outside where they may have lost there virginity, but they are human with all the foibles (look it up) which that carries. The Church is often the port of last resort for those who have difficulties with society, the fallen, the misguided and yes even the criminals, maybe even enjoying the ins and outs of carnal knowledge, yet there they get another shot at the gold ring.
