-Aisha Golsby, 23, was working at HMP Portland in Dorset when she became involved with convict Deano Harrison. She was jailed for 16 months last year for tipping him off about a cell search

-A total of 18 female guards at HMP Berwyn in Wrexham, North Wales, have been fired or have resigned for having illicit affairs with inmates

Yes its a strange thing, I remember one a few years ago that escaped with the con and when stopped she put a bullet in her mouth. The con survived and went back to jail.

This is hardly a UK issue. The same thing happens in the jails and prison in Ontario.

The problem didn't exist pre-1960 because it was rare for women to be correctional officers at that time.

Sometimes the officer is an outsider with no connection to the inmate(s) before becoming involved. Other times the female officer already has a relationship with inmate prior to his incarceration.

Females have been known to become employed as correctional officers just so that they can work in the facility where the men they know are being held.

Now, think about the type of women that would want to work in an all-male prison in the first place. It's the last place most 'normal' people want to be.

The women that fawn over the lifestyle and violence of convicts are also the first ones to cry about domestic violence, infidelity, and callousness of men.

There's something about stability and conscientiousness that they find inherently revolting.

It's just the way women are built. Many of our own mothers might fit the bill.
