Just another excuse where you refuse to actually discuss Hamas as an obstacle to peace.

Hamas lauds ‘heroic’ perpetrators of bombing attack in which Israeli teen killed
https://www.timesofisrael.com/hamas-lauds-brave-heroic-perpetrators-of-bombing-attack/

Yes, they saw that someone exploded a bomb as a family visited a spring, killing a teenaged girl and they celebrated the attack. Please explain how that fits in with the requirements of Oslo.

The UN created the mess in the first place, left Israel to basically fend for itself in 1948 and again in 1967. Israel did comply with UN Security Council Resolution 242 by giving the Sinai back to Egypt and land east of Jordan River and Dead Sea back to Jordan. They also attempted on numerous occasions to negotiate peaceful settlement with the Palestinians, including one that would have returned 95% of the West Bank to their control. But Arafat walked away from the best agreement his people were ever going to get. They have no interest in seeing the Jews have a sliver of land in the ME.

That's horrible and I hope the people responsible are brought to justice but it also pales compared to what happens to Palestinians on a weekly basis.

(Oh and Oslo died years ago. There have been no peace talks for a few years and Israelis show zero interest in peace talks)

Latest weekly report:
8- 21 August 2019

2 Palestinians killed, including a child, under the pretext of carrying out stab and run-over attacks in the West Bank.

Great March of Return in Eastern Gaza Strip: 85 civilians injured, including 25 children and 6 women.

West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem: 73 civilians injured, including a Korean activist.

86 civilians, including 4 children and a woman, arrested during 189 incursions into the West Bank.

2 houses demolished and 20 facilities notified of demolition in occupied East Jerusalem while 3 houses received notices to halt construction works in Bethlehem.

6 shooting incidents reported against Palestinian fishing boats off Gaza shores.

46 temporary checkpoints established in the West Bank, where 2 Palestinian civilians were arrested.

And Hamas' attitudes are no different than Israelis who celebrate Palestinians deaths.
At least they aren't calling for slavery.

That's an illegal act of war on a foreign country by the country which has the record for UN non compliance.
Yes, Israel breaks international law to target a terrorist organization that violates international law. As usual you choose to only criticize one side of the equation.

And speaking of refusal to comply with the UN, The UN Partition defined Israel as a Jewish state. Why do you choose to ignore that UN declaration?

And the usual pretence of criticizing Hamas followed by the claim that a few random Israelis are as much of a problem as Gaza's government. Why are you so soft on Hamas celebrating the intentional murder of a teen girl?

Thanks for admitting the point that Hamas' continued use and praise of terrorism shows the Palestinians never implemented their side of Oslo.

I criticize only one side because only one side is bombing the other right now, and that's Israel. Hezbollah hasn't even responded, they are acting peacefully.

Sure, I think ethnic states are so 18th century, but I'd still support a two state solution based on UN 181.
Glad to hear you think Israel should be held to those borders as well.

And the usual pretence of criticizing Hamas.
Since 2009 Israel has killed about 3500 Palestinians while Palestinians (including Hamas) have killed about 60 Israeli citizens over the same time.
Accordingly, Israel deserves about 600 times the criticism.

You mean like UN resolution 242 telling the Israelis to give the Palestinians back their land?
Too bad it doesn't say that.

It calls for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Jordanian and Egyptian territories the occupied, a "just solution" tho the refugee problem and an end to all belligerency between the warring states. It also calls for the end to belligerency and acceptance of territorial claims, something the Palestinians have yet to accept.

Israel has made peace with Jordan and Egypt and those peace deals gave Israel control over the West Bank and Gaza making 242 null and void.

What is 600 times zero because zero is how much you have criticized Hamas?

(even ignoring the difference between Hamas intentionally targeting random Jewish civilians and Israel targeting Hamas and violent threats.

Yup, it calls for Israel to give Palestinians back their lands and let the refugees back in or give them just compensation.
None of which Israel has done.

Why do you continually lie?

It is about making peace with Jordan and Egypt and giving them the land back. Those countries didn't want it back so ceded it to Israeli control in their peace deals. It is hard to give a land "back" to a state that never existed.

And how much have you ever criticized Israeli actions when they have killed 600 times more people than Hamas and all Palestinians combined?
I have many times.

I am opposed to settlements as they are a distraction from peace.
I am opposed to the religious nationalists who try to hold sway over generally secular Israel.
I am doubly opposed to those nationalists who have chosen to attack Palestinian civilians.
I am opposed to Likud as I feel that they are a negative influence.
I am opposed to innocent Palestinians getting injured.

I am not opposed to Israel's continued existence and not opposed to Israel targeting terrorists and those committing acts of violence. Similarly I differentiate between attacks on Israeli military and attacks on random Jewish civilians like Hamas has praised on several occasions this summer.

And of course you numbers of dead Palestinians combines actual peaceful civilians and terrorist operatives even when Hamas admits they were members on 'heroic operations'.

But you keep making excuses for Hamas terrorism, Hamas racism, attacks on Jews in the West Bank, indiscriminate rocket and arson attacks, and their outright refusal to be involved in actual peace talks. Hamas and other terrorist factions simply help solidify the hold of Israel's right.

UN 181

As you stated, that is what they should have given back, all the land specified by those borders.

You are against those items like butler is against Trump.
Every single time there is room for criticism, you don't take it.

Here's an example.
On Friday, the 72nd Friday of protests in Gaza, Israel injured another 75 people, including 45 hit by live fire.
On 72nd Great March of Return, 94 civilians injured as a result of the Israeli military’s continued use of excessive force against peaceful protests along the Gaza Strip’s eastern border; 25 children, a woman, 2 journalists and 2 paramedics were among those injured this Friday, 30 August 2019.
https://pchrgaza.org/en/?p=12864

Every Friday that these protests have been noted you defend each and every killing and shooting by calling Palestinians 'violent' so thus deserving to be shot by snipers hiding behind a fence.
Do you still claim Israel is justified to shoot civilian protesters, including the 25 children, 2 journalists and 2 paramedics they did on what was a quiet Friday of protests?
