Because the rad fem anti-sex brigade and the Tories cooperated to totally fuck the sex industry with the new laws in 2016.I've been thinking of this and I still don't know why.
Why is being the client of a SP not allowed , but it's legal to be a sugar daddy?
Why is it that trading money for sex is illegal and considred prostitution but if you record it and put it on the internet then it is classed as pornography which is legal to produce.I've been thinking of this and I still don't know why.

Love this answer - spot on mate!Because the law is rarely logical and consistent.
John for life I guessBeing a John is for the poor and middle classes
Being a Sugar Daddy is for the rich......
So, it is basically based on what the Sugar baby does.Because SDs are giving gifts, “not paying for service” Clients are paying directly for service.
It is not sexual service. That is how it is defined. Buying sexual services is illegal. So, it is basically based on what the Sugar baby does.
But some Sps offer companionship where there is no sex, no service.
So, why is that legal? If they are charging for time, then wouldn't that be a service?

I am going to remember that next time an SP tells me it is about her time.It is not sexual service. That is how it is defined. Buying sexual services is illegal.
You realize she says time to help you right? LOLI am going to remember that next time an SP tells me it is about her time.
Thanks.

To be fair, that's part of it.Being a John is for the poor and middle classes
Being a Sugar Daddy is for the rich......
An SP gets into the business for cash lol wtf?? Lol you can’t pay rent with dinner. Its all just semantics in wording. If all indy sp's and agencies converted their marketing schemes and promoted themselves as sb's instead of "service providers" it would make a world of difference and everything would be in legal territory. I think the other sticking point is that all sp's require $ financial compensation for a specific amount of their time wearas with some of the legitimate sb's out there (not the ones who are sp's disguised as sb's) you can get away with taking them out on an adventure or a shopping "date" or take them out to a nice fancy restaurant for dinner before you head to a hotel so your not technically giving them $ for their time but rather going on a real date with a consenting adult which just so happens to turn into sex by the end of the night. Point being if sp's would change their compensation policy and accept other forms of compensation rather then just $ it would make things less problematic
