feel they have to call someone to talk about the game? I have noticed numerous times throughout the playoffs (especially in NY and Boston) when the camera pans the crowd, there are tons of people on cell phones talking to someone(that i assume are watching at home anyway) to talk about what just happened? "Hey man did you see that? Yeah im watching it on TV. Cool man did it happen the same way on tv as it did live?" OF COURSE IT FUCKING DID YOU IDIOT! Put the phone down and watch the game with the person you came with! Im done! It was really bugging me last night.

Well I dont think those people on the phone at games are waiting for the camera to pan to them...what irritates me more though, if people are say sitting behind the plate and they call someone and wave, that seems to occur way toooooo much these days. Why, I dont know.

Friends of mine went to Game 6 of the World Series in Toronto (when they won it last) and called us from their seats. She said "Nanny nanny boo-boo" or something.

They almost caught Paul Molitor's home run ball too. The jerks.

I can see if you are at a cool game and are knowingly going to be on tv (behind the plate for example) that you might call someone and say Hey look at me. Maybe. But i dont understand why joe blow in level 400 is calling some dude at home. Its not to be on TV. I know its a small detail but it really bugged me last night that i was yelling at them. I do that when i watch porn too. "Grab her tits man...geez she has great tits and shes bouncing on top of ya. Grab em man squeeze" As long as i dont mix the two up ill be fine

I don't get it either. You know they are on the phone with someone asking if they are on TV yet. The best was when they showed a Yankee fan on the phone, you could see her say " I'm on TV" and then she stood up to wave and all that we were left to see was her fat gut. Doofus.

Nothing more irritating than some bozo tht talks on his cell phone during a event. I remember when I was at the Stones Concert a couple of years at the ACC some jerk keeped on phone his friend at the start of every song. I was ready to rip that damn phone from his hand and smack him over the head with it.

Here's a trick that might work. I understand during the Stones concert in Miami that a guy in the front row kept yaking on his cell phone. I guess it got to the point where it pissed Keith Richards off enough, he went a got a bottle of water and sprayed the guy. Then the fans around the jerk started to do the same with their beer. Guess the poor bastard didn't learn not to piss off Keith.

I actually will call from a ball game if I am sitting in crappy seats and couldn't see some critical call by the ump and I'll call someone I know who is watching the game to let me know what happened and if the ump blew the call or not.

My biggest pet peeve in the world is people who leave an event early to avoid traffic no matter the score or situation. I always yell "Judas was the first to leave too." as they go by.
Hey, I like that! :p

Trust me...they are good. They play and sing their own music which is better than any of the lip-synching crap we get now-a-day. Nothing better then Keith ripping into Rock Off, Brown Sugar or Start Me Up among the many songs. If you missed the Licks tour you missed a great one. They usually featured a Album at each concert. The Skydome show featured "Let It Bleed" and the ACC show featured "Exile on Main Street".

Idiots that sit behind home plate, especially the new seats that the Jays added, should be ejected if caught calling home and waving. Its so damn annoying when watching from home. Damn - when I worked there, I was going nuts enough with the people who didn't take their hats off, or worse - stand, for the National Anthem. I would have been tossing people left, right and centre for the cell phone bit.

I'll make a gross generalization and say that people on cell phones at ball games are really not fans of the game. They are there because they have connections and recognize there is some cachet to being at a major sporting event, but ultimately, they really couldn't care less about the game itself. For them, being at the ballpark is like being anywhere else... they'd have no qualms about using the cell phones in their car, at the mall, or in their backyard, so this is no different. Just noisier.

Yesterday, I was at a buffet restaurant, and I saw a guy on his cell phone while he was going through the buffet. Needless to say, he was very slow. I wanted to smack him.
