This is just my casual observation on this topic (sort of) that I've garnered through various industry forums.
I think a large part of the issue at hand here - and please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong to those in opposition to sig pics of men - is that there are a minority of guys here that believe that some of the ladies, particularly advertisers, have too large and vocal a presence on TERB.
The undercurrent is that these SPs have undue influence over a board that is/was designed to give information to clients. This influence can come in many forms, but it includes allowing for the existence of a no review policy, a neutering of reviewers through a set of undefined "standards" that has led to threads being closed or deleted, and the ability for said agencies/SPs to post in opposition to reviews and viewpoints to the point of being argumentative - which also sometimes results in a secondary benefit of a thread being locked or axed altogether.
I think that this group of members believes that TERB is a bit of a boys' club and that the loud and prominent - some might say threatening - presence and leverage of these ladies/SPs is a bit off-putting and unwelcome and corrupts the "integrity" of the board. You know, women are to be seen, but not heard from - unless it's to say "Yes" to out every sexual whim, want and demand!
Flame on.
