stupid skank who is hot (body and face), but is very dumb and comes with the other usual bimbo trappings (manipulates men, doesn't have her own $$, party girl, etc). OR, a GND type who is very intelligent and has her own money, but doesn't have a hot body (maybe a little chubbier than you'd like, small tits, average face), yet is generally a nicer person and looking for something more serious?

I'm not joking here as I am in this classic dilemma.

I have the latter girl. My problem is I don't know if I even really like her for who she is or can even be with her long term... but she clearly has serious intentions. I have met her friends, family (albeit reluctantly), and really I see us more as friends who bang and do romantic things for each other.... but I don't feel any burning need to be with her, or desire to move towards a more serious relationship. OTOH, I usually end up dating complete trash/golddiggers/girls with low self esteem, and so far she has been the closest to a girl I think is actually a good catch.

Some friends say either you want to be with her for the rest of your life, or quit leading her on and end things now before you get in deeper. Some are more split on things... Thoughts?

How old are you?

I sense you're younger - like early to mid 20's.

There isn't a man above 32 that doesn't know the answer to this question - Girl No. 2.

Or should I say - Definitely NOT Girl No.1.

Hot wears thin after about 2 weeks (for me). The last thing I want is what you described Girl No. 1 to be.

Looks fade, but stupid is forever.

Perhaps she's not the girl for you. Even though she has good qualities, chemistry is important.

The hot skanky party girl is fun to date but obviously does not have long-term potential. If you are looking for short-term fun, stay with that type for now and don't get attached to them.

When you're ready to look for a long-term relationship, go for the qualities that mean the most to you...while still finding chemistry. Finding a true match is not easy and you may be looking for a while and they won't all be right for you (or you for her). Sounds like your current GF does not completely meet your long-term or short-term needs.

Actually, the best option is to find girl #3. Hopefully she will be someone you're madly in love with and would be quite willing to spend the rest of your life with. Don't settle for something less, you'll regret it.

27 for a few more months. I get what you guys are saying ... I just don't know if I love her and can be with her forever. Which is what I need to be able to do to stay with her...right?

I was faced with the same choice and went with girl # 2, really a no brainer now that I think about it. Most of my energy is devoted towards my business/career, so I can't afford to waste time and mental resources putting out fires in my personal life.

Besides, I can have fun with girls like #1 via hobbying.

You can always ask Girl #2 how she feels about threesomes with Girl #1 types. Have your cake and eat her too... ;)

I guess the other point is neither me nor girl 2 want kids ...but I know she wants marriage. I can't yet bring myself to cheat for some reason, making this into a zero sum equation ...

Considering the purpose of this site, I would think many here are with #2 but pay for time with #1 by the hour.

If you're not ready to settle down, or if you think you can't fall in love with Girl #2 (the ideal choice as explained by Captain Kirk) and need to sow your wild oats still, then don't lead her on. Be honest and maybe you can remain friends, or just casually date her if she's okay with that.

wouldn't mind having some 1 night stands with the bimbo but when it comes to dating i would go with the girl that is generally a nicer person, can't stand a bitchy one....

Ask yourself who you would rather have as the mother of your children and you have your answer.

You certainly don't love her or wouldn't have this dilemma bouncing around in your head.

No Kids, no real reason to get married (unless she's also a sugar momma :) ) Also remember, getting married usually allows a woman to turn down her libido. I think, please others pipe up, that it seems that shortly after marriage many woman's libido's turn down to 1/4 of what it was while dating. So that's another consideration, neither of you want kids, is she going to meet that sexual requirement, if not, then just be friends and hobby.

Date? I would date the skank. By that I mean, we go out and have a lot of fun and sex on a regular basis.

Get into a serious relationship with? The GND. In addition to the fun and sex, she meets my family and friends.

Marry? I'm tempted to say the GND, but what I did was wait until I found one that was smoking hot AND smart.

Scratch that.

The correct answer here is obviously BOTH.

Meanwhile keep looking for the one that has it all.
