It is a dead heat right now but the momentum is with Harris but that can change overnight

It all comes down to the seven swing states of North Carolina, Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia.

Although if Harris can pull off Florida the White House is hers

I say Harris will win as people are tired of Trumps lies and insults and especially his stolen election lie and his January 6 insurrection will be his downfall and the fact he just cannot STFU and stay on point

The debates may be a huge factor but only if Harris can tear Trump apart with her prosecuter skills as I cannot see Trump dong that to Harris but he may be able to stand his ground as debates are so shallow and the public is so easily persuaded

The DNC ratings are smoking the RNC so that is a huge positive for Harris. Who wants to watch an old Hulk Hogan scream and rip his shirt off when the DNC has Stevie Wonder and the O'Bamas ?

Even though Harris is a bit too far left for me the Congress and the Senate will somewhat limit those concerns. Although at least 40% are Trump cultists for most of the swing voters TRUMP is just too sickening of an individual to ever vote for. I think that Harris will win the popular vote by 5%+ .

I suspect enough Republicans are tired of Trumps clown act
that they will turn or just stay away from the election but anything can happen as we have seen in the last few weeks

Watching the DNC the Dems tactics are clear. They go after Trump on Jan 6 riot and divisiveness while they emphasis Harris' message of hope and unity

Thr evangelicals could easily decide this vote if enough realize that Trump is not sent by God as lots of them amazingly do

I don't think she won by 5%, it was only 2.1 percent
Biden got 4.5% and that was enough.

I feel almost sorry for The King of Kings, he has two lawsuits pending on unauthorized use of copywritten songs. Taylor Swift may join Vic Willis and Neil Young. If The King of Kings watched the end of Tim Walz speech, his brain probably imploded.

The ultimate percentage of the win doesn't matter, only the distribution.

Yes, a higher popular vote wins makes the electoral college more likely, but you can add 2% to Clinton's total spread across states she already won and it wouldn't change the electoral college result.

I think Harris will be able to attract the bulk of the important undecided voters. Historically, the Dems and GOP could rely on something like 40% each of the vote, with the remaining 20% deciding who wins. Harris is a breath of fresh air compared to Trump. I think Trump hobbled himself with JD Vance, who has been a drag so far (I mean, that could change, but I'm not sure it will).
The issues come down to this:
  • Economy: Trump is trying to run on things that happened pre-pandemic, and ignores the economic turmoil that happened under his watch. Harris will be able to use Biden's economy (which has good and bad to it), but she articulates that she is for the middle class, not Big Business....whom Trump supports. I think this will be one area that Harris takes.
  • Border: Trump is strong on this, but he could be haunted by him tanking the bi-partisan border deal. Harris is singing the right song, but there is an impression about this that will be hard to shake.
  • Abortion: Trump owns the over turn of Roe v Wade, even if he tries to distance himself. Now the GOP/MAGA cult are talking about IVF and contraception. I think this (and Trump/Vance disgusting takes on women) will push more women to the Dems/Harris.
There are other areas, but these are the main ones. And, let's be real: Project 2025 will play a role. As much as Trump wants to distance himself from it, you can't imagine him not using that playbook if he got elected. It removes the guardrails that protected American institutions from MAGA, and this would give him loyalists in every bureaucratic position in the government. I think it wouldn't bother the MAGA cult, but it would probably freak out independent voters (or Republicans who cannot stomach Trump, which appears to be a growing list of people).

Sure but I am guessing the spread among those three isn't going to be that different. 5 percent should be enough to win it.

It could.
It's really a proxy and a best guess.
A solid 5% win in the popular vote would be very likely to result in a Harris victory, but it would be far from guaranteed.

Don’t underestimate the support of a Kennedy, no matter how crazy they are
Well, with the rest of the Kennedy family supporting Harris, that would imply it is good for Harris.
But I don't think their endorsements in either direction matter that much.

This is the only Kennedy that matters in this election. The guy scorched Kamala and the democrats in his speech today. A pure masterpiece

that old hag Kamala is going down.
Nobody listens to that Kennedy lunatic... not even any of his family. If Kamala at 59 is an old hag, what does that make 78 year old insane vomit spewing Trump?

The facts on Twat Kennedy. What a clown of a man. He should wear a red nose. I guess getting snubbed by Harris sent him grovelling to the King of Twats.

He will certainly get the Brain Worm vote and that's an important constituency.
