Brodeur is still the man!!! Look at that list and tell me seriously who you would feel more comfortable with. He'll rise to the challenge, has been there before and will have world class defense men in front of him. Luongo and Turco to back up

Are you guys kidding me...Cujo in the mix...lol......I don't care if he is stopping shots on top of his head, doing backflips while making saves...This guy should not even be considered, he choked against the Swedes 4 yrs ago, when at that time he was tops in the game...I cannot argue with Broduer(sp )... But after that you have to go with youth..Luongo and Theddore are the best bets for this team........Cujo, Belfour.......LOL........and the laefs win the cup this year......LMAO

Luongo isn't playing too bad considering he has faced more shats than any other goalie. If you were to put a good team in front of him, he would be the best goalie in the league. But I do agree that it is Brodeurs job to loose. Brodeur is also smart enough to know when someone else is better than him, and he would step aside.

you need a goalie that can handle playing consistently when faced different strengthed opponents each night. a player that faces alot of shots all the time may need just that to keep on top of his game... ie, keep him warm. that is why brodeur was so good in the past... he can handle going from a period with 0 shots to one where he sees 20+shots on net.

goalies like ed belfour, marty turco, and manny legace all have this kind of strength.

but, i really don't think it is all that big of a deal... just play who's at their best come time... Canada shouldn't have to rely on goaltending now, should they? I mean, look at the team of skaters we can put together this year... much, much more stronger than any other country can offer.
