Yeah this is a weird one because he seemingly was a well dressed man that lived in a pricey condo. Maybe some white collar crime and he fucked with the wrong people? I don't know....

That condo was supposedly well secured. That probably means he knew the person(s) who killed him. The police said it is a homicide, so that rules out accident.

Maybe a date gone wrong?

Yeah we know it was a homicide not an accident. Could have been a date gone wrong. Could be lot's things I guess.

Police asking the public for tips. However, that condo building, apparently, had cameras all over the place. This murder/homicide is definitely solvable. Hate to think there is another murderer(s) on the loose.

Cause of death was stabbing. Maybe police have the murder weapon?

I agree. No signs of forcible entry most probably means he trusted the person well enough to let him or her in.

The fact that he was stabbed also suggests that this was personal.
How so?
What does ‘personal’ mean in this context?

‘Nothing personal, I am just gonna kill you…’

If you are good at using a knife, it is way better than a gun. No noise. You can get your knife at a home sense, walmart, canadian tire etc..,anywhere. Good luck using the cctv to spot the culprit.
In the other hand good luck getting a gun that easy…

Personal as opposed to a robbery or contract killing.
According to criminalologists a stabbing is more of a personal, revenge motivated killing than a shooting. You have to get close to someone and inflict pain. Using a gun is more of a cold-blooded execution.
In other words, the murderer likely had feelings of hatred towards the victim.
Then again, there are exceptions to every rule so who knows really. Yet so far the evidence would suggest the murderer knew the victim and wanted him dead.

I've seen this movie before. Sharon Stone did it with an ice pick. On the other hand, I saw on CSI where the murder weapon was an icicle.

Seriously, it most likely is someone he knew and perhaps trusted at least to some degree. The good news is that it is not likely random. The bad news is a murderer is on the loose.
