Ronan Farrow.

Son of Mia Farrow and supposedly Woody Allen.

But apparently there is gossip (and don't we just love gossip) that Ronan is actually Mia Farrow's son by Frank Sinatra (Mia Farrow's love of her life).

Here's the back-drop....

Now, on to that bit about Ronan Farrow maybe, possibly not being Allen's son.

In the Vanity Fair interview, his mom calls Frank Sinatra the great love of her life and said the two "never really split up."

Asked if her son was Sinatra's, Mia Farrow answered, "Possibly."

Ronan's response?

"Listen, we're all *possibly* Frank Sinatra's son."

Face could just reveal Mia's genes. Light skinned and elfin. She just might have it in for Woody, who wasn't always the most likeable guy.

I never understood the Mia Farrow - Sinatra thing. By that time, Sinatra was very much the older statesman and behind the times musically.

To really make an informed guess I'd want to see photographs of W. Allen's parents and grandparents likewise with Frank Sinatra's

Really?

I remember when it was found out that Mel Lastman had a couple of kids outside of his marriage. When I heard it the news I thought, "nothing a DNA test wouldn't solve", but when I saw the pictures of the grown children I thought, "na, don't even bother" It was so obvious looking at the kids that Mel Lastman was their father.

When I look at Ronan Allan, he looks just like Frank.

Same eye brows

Identical nose

Same cheek bone structure

Blue eyes.

Look at Allen's eye brows and nose - completely different.

He's Frank's kid all right

Ronan looks a LOT like his mother. It doesn't mean Sinatra was/wasn't his father, or that Allen is/isn't his father, just that it's inconclusive.

From Sinatra's POV or from Farrow's?

Sinatra: As an old man, get to be with a very pretty young woman. Just look around this board to see that.
Farrow: A powerful, strong, rich older man. If Eddie Van Halen (not saying he was Sinatra, but he's a behind-the-times musician today) couldn't pick up a beautiful young woman today, what's the point of being Eddie Van Halen?

I grew up in the late 60's / early 70's and Sinatra was super-uncool if you were under 30 years of age. Maybe I'm a little behind the times, but I don't get the impression that aging rockers are quite as out of date.

Yeah, he was an elder statesman, but remember the Chairman of the Board and the Rat Pack ruled the Hollywood / Vegas entertainment establishment in the '60s. And Mia Farrow was a hot young actress on the TV soap Peyton Place. Not hard to see the appeal either direction.

I think we can pretty much agree that the British Invasion, particularly the Beatles hitting America in '64, is the defining point separating old "popular music" from "rock music."

But Sinatra still managed to have lots of chart topping radio hits during that same period. Definitely not a cool dude if your were an under 30 long haired hippy then, but his hit songs still wormed their way into your brain.

Take "When I Was 17", a Grammy winner in '66, and still a classic today. I remember listening to that as a kid and loving it . . . while also really digging Cream and the Jimi Hendrix Experience, which obviously I thought were way more cool.

Took me a long time into my adult years to fully appreciate Sinatra (and forgive his doofus moments).

Trust me on this: for today's kids, aging rockers are just as out of date musically . . . and so are you and me.

(Unless you happen to be a fan of Justin and Miley, in which case it's just me out of date.)

In the greater scheme of things, stuff like this out of Hollywood are soooooooooo unimportant, but carry on.

You could say the same in every thread on TERB if you really need to be a killjoy.
Since no one is, so what?

There are a lot of interesting topics discussed in various threads in the various forums, but you wouldn't be aware of that since you've only been here less than a month.
