Me too, but it is still a pain in the ass to pick the chairs up, tidy cords up, etc or the thing wanders endlessly trying to get in all the bits or get wrapped up in cords.
I find a 10 minute pick up of things and put them away, start the laundry, load and run the dishwasher, make a grocery list and head out to go shopping seems to work best before I push start on the Roomba.
Sometimes it runs back to its home and chirps at me to empty its bin half way through the clean job if I have been remiss in too long between running the thing.
Mine came from a dumpster announcing error codes when powered up the first time.

And added a drop of oil on the bearings of the vac fan, because it was drawing too much current with a dry bearing.
Fooling the cpu in thinking the filter was plugged.
An hour of my time and it was working fine again.
