YYZ to BKK, leaving 17-18-19-20 March until 3-4-5-april roughly, I've looked but thought I'd throw it out there to the members.:thumb:

around 1200 is the cheapest which isn't bad, although the time frame is tight for a long flight, might have to go somewhere on this side of the continent. I could do 10 half hour appts here and still be a fraction of the cost, not the same as a vaca though.

I wish you the best of luck in your search and a swell holiday, but I have to ask … Isn't answering this sort of question exactly what professional travel agents get paid to do?

A little over two weeks to go, is a bit late which limits you to the higher price range.

You can try checking out those asian travel agencies, they might have slightly better asian destination deals.

Do some research on those websites. Expedia, travelocity et al.
Compare them etc. etc.

You're about 3 weeks late; United I believe had flights for about $800 CDN to BKK at the time.

Doubt you'll get anything below $1100 now (if that); Songkran is just around the corner.

I don't see it happening, just wanted to give someone a warm fuzzy feeling of finding me a cheap flight and know I be getting regular happy ending massages, attending soapies, bj bars, gogos, and maybe even bone a ladyboy's ass. Shit did I say that out loud.

Since you do have a bit of flexibility with your travel dates, you could always wait and hope for a last minute deal.
They'd much rather sell a seat at a cheaper rate than leave it empty.

I've had some success with Cheapo Air before if you want to keep looking.

I thought they'd rather not sell it, and that last minute airfare is a myth?

If it was a myth, businesses like Sell Off Vacations wouldn't even exist.
Think about it, how much extra money can an empty seat spend vs a passenger, no matter how much he or she paid? And what is the real cost of filling the seat, other than a bit of admin and some fuel for the extra weight?
Travel agents can usually pull rabbits out of their hats for last minute bookings, especially for a solo traveller who has some flexibility.

I was looking for similar. Short notice means around $1350.
Not really a lot when you put it in perspective unless the name is cheap Charlie, so could just go for it.
Options are wait for a last minute sell off (not likely) or go later. I'm seeing $900-1000 for July/Aug/Sept.

Here
I don't get it!

You are going to spend $5-6k on a vacation and $200 more for a flight is a deal breaker?

It's more the time frame, only looking at 10 days or so, just don't think the value is there, I'm usually at least a month type of traveler.

I just booked recently for the end of April. Paid $1100 return with EVA Air with short layovers and arriving in Bangkok in the morning. Perfect for me. Could have paid less with shitty Chinese airlines but I'd rather pay the extra $100 or $200 and not have to deal with that.
