I've recently come to the conclusion that "Blind Date" really helps you to avoid making social blunders (because it happens all the time in the show). I'm tryting to think of other TV shows.

I'd say probably the news, because the next morning you can alwasy bring it up as a topic of conversation at work, if you and the other person have absolutely nothing in common, plus you'll appear intellligent in the process.

Aside from that, probably no TV shows, it's best to just go to the bar for that.
