i got a droid. happy with the phone and the features. battery life sucks on a long hard donkey cock though.
At least you can pop it open with your fingernail and change the battery. Apple went so far as to screw the iPhone shut with proprietary screws, just to prevent you from swapping the battery yourself.

I always have a spare battery with me... it's like.. $10 on ebay for a spare battery for practically any phone.

Had all three. Android is pretty good. Yeah lot's of free apps if you don't mind ads slowing them down 200%.
I have tried out lots of apps, and in the end there are only a handful I really use. For those I happily paid the $2 for the ad free version.

That may have been true once upon a time, but there's virtually no useful/popular apps that are not available for android.
There is ONE... but it's not available for iPhone either.

I miss BBM. RIM's best shot at reinventing itself is going to be to reposition itself as a provider of corporate mobile services that run on every platform, I think. BB Enterprise Server for Android, now that would fucking rock.

Buying a Blackberry in the age of the IPhone and Android would be akin to buying a VCR in the age of DVD players.

Sort of, BBM is still a killer app, and there is still nothing like it available for iPhone or Android. Like I said above, I think RIM needs to realize where it's true value is--corporate messaging--and stop making its own phones. If they moved now and made BBM and BB Server available for Android or BBM for iPhone they would absolutely own that market.

you may rethink android after seeing this

Your Android Phone Is Secretly Recording Everything You Do
As does Symbian and Blackberry. This is a carrier installed feature, not part of android, something omitted by Mr. Eckhart. A pure android phone (one of the nexus models) doesn't have this. Doesn't make it right, but it's important to have all the facts.

I turned in my blackberry for an an android and am enjoying it. Very user friendly, good speed, big screen, apps, already used to the touch screen.

I never used BBM on the blackberry.

I have the galaxy infuse and at the time it had the biggest screen, best specs, the option to buy memory cards to expand memory and lowest cost ($50 with 3 year plan).

I like that media can be copied via usb without concern for format and play it.

don't get me wrong the iphone is a great phone too.
