Which is best?

Hi Folks,

I am looking to buy a 30 gig Mp3/video player for my 12 yearold son.

Have narrowed it down to the Creative Zen, Toshiba Gigabeat, the new Microsoft Zune and of course the Ipod.

Which one would you reccomend, they all cost about the same, so which one to buy?

Tough call, iPod has the market for 3rd party stuff.
Keep that in mind.
Microsoft's Zune, I dunno, but it has FM capabilities right?
Creative not too bad either, Toshiba, same.

my opinion...

all are a nice selection..
but, i would look into a product known as Archos 604 wifi..
this product does all and even has wifi capabilities...

futureshop in toronto sells this product..

Ipod, why? Because that's what all his friends have, and that's what he probably wants to have. Put yourself in your kids shoes, if you were 12 years old what would be important to you?

Get your kid an ipod ... he doesnt want an mp3 player, he wants to be able to say that he has an ipod. the point isn't even really for the musical capabilities, more for him to have the item. Anything else would be a dissapointment.

THe iPod also happens to be an excellent product, and he can always take it back if he really wants something else, and if he really hates iPod he'll enjoy returning it!

iPod... i like mine, so wouldn't advise against it. As stated, all those 3rd party products are good too.
