Where To Go For A Weekend Getaway in Ontario?

Been there, done that, although that was long time ago. The water was quite choppy then. Is it a lot better now???

what keeps the Golden Horseshoe so calm is the fact the prevailing winds are out of the South West thus blowing towards the North East making the Eastern end of the lake seem more like Lake Erie at this end.

If you were to go to the lake in Cleveland you would find it to be much calmer.

Come to think about it, there is the American side of Lake Ontario worthy of weekend getaways too. Any suggestions???

Will be up north to visit Lake Muskoka and Lake Rousseau in a week. Hope the blackflies are all gone. Any good place for fishing there? Please do tell.

Thanks ladies and gentlemen, for the suggestions of all those wonderful places. Forgot to mention that doing a day or so of boating and fishing will be very nice. Something uniquely Canadian will be much appreciated, such as Canadian bacon and a lot of non-food activities. LOL!!!

Ya know, there's something about Algonquin Park. Nice countryside and easy to boat. Some lakes allow small motor boats, others canoe only.

Thanks, interesting you mention Algonquin Park. The good doc knows a couple who went to Algonquin Park, found some virgin territory and made out like wild dogs there. LOL!!! May pay the location a visit since Lake Muskoka is not far from there and see how much they had fertized that virgin territory.
