If you were born in Canada, grew up in Canada, and went to work in the US and now know that you are going to die in a few months.
Where would you want to be buried ?
In your hometown in Canada ? or in the US ?

Between a rock and a hard place
I don't care where I'm buried after I die. Before I go I wouldn't mind being buried in Sweet Sasha's cleavage :p

I'd like to be stuffed and left at my buddies cottage. That way I'd always have a great view of the lake. Sunrise and Sunset's. And never miss a party. They could just lug me around from bar to bar.

Cremation...

I am going to opt for cremation and have my ashes spread out from a helicopter over The Annex area and downtown Toronto from Yonge & Bloor south to the lake.

Similar to what my bro did except he had his ashes spread over the cloverleaf where 401 & 427 come together because he was a local P&D truck driver and spent a lot of time going to and from the airport.

P.S. To answer the question asked:

My brother and I were both born in small town Northern Ontario but spent most of our lives here in GTA. So that is reason for our choices. My brother knew he was going so that is why he made plans ahead of time. Being born here in Canada... I think if I ended up spending a lot of time in another country and knew my time was coming... I would want to come back here to be buried.

Set on a funeral pyre with a Darth Vader costume on!

But don't cry, I'll just be re-united with the Force.

I purchased some plots in a cemetary near my birth place. I buried my father there and planted a couple of trees, by the time I arrive I will have some shade!

Come on, ladies and gentlemen

With all the massive brain power out there on TERB, you guys still could not give me an acceptable solution for my problem:

How about chop my body into a million pieces and bury it everywhere in the world where I had been to ?

I would like to be buried in a graveyard where my favourite French-speaking women are resting.

Being the passionate Quebecer that you are... I'm surprised that the answer is not easy for you.

Close to where

Our Elders made it easy, selected convenience location so we can visit often, and not worry about stepping in mud or getting pants dirty in rain or snow.

Maryland, depends where most of the people that may pay visit. I know of families that trek over 1000 kms to pay visit. I had to make many cross border trips for such friends or distance relatives.

Neither U.S. or Canada burial are cheap. While some modern non-profit cemetary in GTA are park-like, pleasant to visit, not morbid.

Get them to bury it on the grounds of one of the two countries' embassies in the national territory of the other.

Dude,

Whichever country you consider to be your home, that's where you should be buried.

As for myself, I have never thought about the question. So I don't know.

I wonder if after they cremate me, if they could pour my ashes into the brass pole, on stage at my favourite nudie bars?
