I see in the TO Star today that an American pilot fired into a wedding killing more than 40 people, including children. The US military now says that it was a suspected safe house for foreign fighters from Syria. Have the Americans gone stark raving mad from their paranoia? They claim to want to stop terrorism so they light up a wedding because it is a "suspected" terrorist hide out. Yeah that makes perfect sense. When will the American military top brass and Republican Administration be forced to accept the consequences for their acts of terrorism? Even if there were terrorists there, can the trade-off in human life possibly be worth it? I mean how many innocent lives could the unconfirmed terrorists have taken down the road? I doubt the pain those "suspected" terrorists perhaps could've caused in the future is greater than the pain the Americans caused with the slaughter of 40 innocents at that wedding. The American mentality seems to be to wipe out terror with more terror. It brings to mind the expression there is nothing to fear except fear itself. Obviously many Americans are so paralyzed by fear that it has caused their brains to completely shut down.
On the very same page I see a Palestinian man wailing holding a dead child. Israeli forces fired on a protest march at the Rafah refugee camp in the southern Gaza Strip. Niiiiiiiiice. This was done with tank shells. At least 10 Palestinians, mostly children, were killed and 50 others were wounded, 36 of them critically. What a tragedy. I say for shame. It will do nothing to stop terrorism, in fact it will have probably created hatred that can never be quenched. For that Palestinian man there is probably hell to pay.
The world definitely needs new leadership starting with the fall of George Bush and Ariel Sharon.
