I thought a while back someone said that new cases have to go below 1,000...I think they will start before that thou, people are getting antsy.
I'm thinking it should be based on hospitalizations and ICU admissions, not just the total number of cases. Especially if they're in fact spreading the second dose out to 4 months. Every month that goes by between doses, efficacy drops and there's more of a chance of getting COVID. Although less likely to require hospitalization. I've already heard stories of people getting COVID more than a month after receiving the first dose.
Well before he started moving those goal posts he DID quote hard numbers in his late fall colour coded systems
Then Public Health said he was wrong and he revised his numbers
Then he issued a Stay Home Order for province and threw his brightly coloured high school project in the trash as areas with few or no cases suddenly got locked down
I'd prefer using a number based on the rate. Something like 0.1% of the population with an active case.
You could use that. But it is a lagging modifier and I am more worried about active circulation that severity. But something as a measure of severe cases would still work.
Exactly. He's never stuck to the numbers under pressure so I doubt he would even bother trying to get any credibility back with them now.
Taking a vaccine is so much easier and more effective.

Simple fact remains if you are old (or in poor health) a magic vaccine ain't gonna help you
If you are healthy you would have remained healthy with or without the vaccine
